This is a must see tour in the water you get to see amazing houses that belongs to celebrities also, the vibes on the boat were amazing. Also, they played great music. It’s a mustsee tour. I enjoyed my experience. This is a tour that’s for all ages.

What a lovely boat ride- staff were all amazing. Boat was adorable. The tour guide spoke in English and Spanish and was very entertaining and informative. I loved seeing the houses up close! Absolute best thing to do while in Miami! Highly recommend!!!!!!

It was ok.. and a stark reminder of you get what you pay for .. so technically, I should give it 5 star but a 3 star is an average for an average expereince. things that went well.. 1. Miami harbour is beautiful and this ship provided me the means to see it 2. No drama on the cruise. We got back safe What didnt work, in order of its importance to me 1. 1. It's a Pirate Ship but so I guess its ok to have old fittings and look old but this ship was in dire need of maintenance. 2. Seats were not comfortable. 3. Toilets were not clean. 4. We left early. We arrived early. Lol..

Well it wasn’t a pirate ship when we arrived, which we booked ahead and paid for. And the “open bar” was really only a few premixed drinks that we were allowed to choose from. The bathroom on the boat was atrocious. Unbelievably disgusting.

We had paid to go on a pirate ship tour around Miami. We were told we had to go onto another ship which was not the pirate ship. I couldn’t understand the host that was speaking that was explaining the homes and their stories. Either the sound system or she was unclear. I would say that the trip was just okay. If you want to see the homes of the rich and famous, it’s an okay trip.

Great tour & beautiful mansions

Fun times, enjoyed the atmosphere! Beautiful mansions. Only slight “turn off” in my opinion was upon entering the ship, one of the employees was handing out a little slip of paper for adults to fill out for “raffle” and seemed routine/mandatory. Turns out my husband was 1 of 3 people whose name was called as a raffle “winner.” We weren’t expecting a raffle and at 1st were excited that he was a lucky one that would receive a “prize”. Turns out the “prize” was an opportunity to participate in a time share program: go to a meeting during your stay in miami, so on & so forth, if you know how time shares work. I’m sure many people participate in and enjoy time share programs, but we have no interest in such. Since it’s being described as a “prize” we would’ve honestly been much more excited w/ a magnet, a t-shirt, a drink or appetizer voucher from one of the establishments surrounding the dock, etc, just something that has no-strings attached or a “catch”. Or no raffle/prize at all would have been fine too, and maybe just offer all patrons exiting the ship an opportunity to inquire about the time share program if interested. I understand promoting your business…..was just turned off by presenting it as a raffle/prize type of scenario. But the woman was was sweet when we politely declined.

Good Tour - will recommend - there is NO PIRATE BOAT

So just a heads up...there is NO PIRATE BOAT...they are advertising as a Pirate Boat but once you get there it will be a bigger boat..This can be good thing or a bad thing..if your kids are expecting a Pirate Boat...just know that you will see one docked..but it doesnt look like the engines even work on that one. It is a little scamy...cause you will just tell you "The Pirate boat is not working today."...how about...."The Pirate Boat is just a ruse and doesnt work at all." Once you reach Biscayne Bay main area..you need to look for the Blue and White umbrella near the "Hard Rock" Cafe..this podium will be located upstairs next to a restaurant sitting area and across from the "Hard Rock Cafe"...You will be boarding the boat downstairs across from a big decorative Arm Chair that people use for taking photos. I am letting you all know this because the guy at the entrance of Biscayne Bay was not good at providing directions. (A) Please go to the podium first so they can scan your bar code and print you a boarding pass. (B) They will take your picture before they board you...no you cannot say no....they do this so they can sell the pictures to interested parties at the end of the tour. (C) As annoying as it is...get there early...atleast 40 minutes to go stand in the que downstairs at the boarding dock...if you dont do this..the line will only get longer and you wont get good seats...Then you may be stuck inside the board and not on the roof which is the good spot...and last minute people will wanna squeeze in with you -- which can be really annoying. There are drinks available for purchase..but I dont drink..so I dont know what they are like....Sit in the middle of the roof seating area because the speakers are obnoxiously loud with music. The tour itself was fine..the boat moves at an ok pace and they show you all the celebrity houses from a distance -- I beleive there are restrictions on how close they can get..but I will et you know that this is the same tour all the boats take..so you are not missing anything. I didnt any other tour boat go any further than our boat..so I am guessing they have restrictions on where they can go. So you wont get anything extra special if you pick a different tour. It was an ok tour..it was 40mins to an hour I would say. The only annoying thing I found about this boat is that the seats should be facing in one direction instead of aliigning the sides of the boat because you have to turn around and look at the house and stuff..and someone's crotch will be in your face when they permit people to stand up and take pictures..and that's just annoying. Second annoying thing is that their music is too loud..you are already tired from standing around the dock to wait for a good seat on the boat and then you have loud music. Another annoying thing was that they will make you guess the celebrity who owns the house as you are doing the tour..but they are trying to manage so many things on the boat..that by the time you are already past the celebrity house..that's when you will know who the house belongs to..Just tell us straight up who the house belongs to and be done with it so we can take our pictures. I did not come on the boat to play jepordy..I just came to enjoy and stare like a creep inside celebrity houses...Otherwise this is a good tour and Staff is nice..Look out for the European tourists..cause they have no concept of personal space and ques..and will try to cut you off..Everything else was fine. I would recommend this tour for first time tourists.

Let me start by saying, I NEVER write reviews as I am very pleased with all the tours I have booked throughout the world through Viator up until this point over the last 10+ years but this tour/booking from start to finish was a DISASTER. We booked this pirate boat tour almost 3 months in advance through Viator for the 1:00pm sailing on the pirate boat (which was in the title of the tour booking). We arrived to the pier 2 hours early (thank goodness) because when we checked in, we were showed a picture of the ship we would be touring on and it most definitely was NOT the pirate ship (he flipped the picture very quickly in my face of the regular ship almost as if I wasn’t going to notice the switch up from what I booked which was very shady). I booked us for two adults and two young kids (who were very excited to be sailing on a pirate boat!). I kindly showed the gentleman (named Sebastian) my actual booking to which he told me no, it’s not the pirate booking despite it showing on my voucher I booked the pirate boat tour AND the same showed on their manifest. I was told that the pirate ship tours were only at 1:30, 3:30 and 5:30. I asked Sebastian to please put us at the 1:30 sailing to match what I booked to which I was told he couldn’t do anything, we would have to contact the tour company (Miami Aqua Tours) directly. He gave us two foreign phone numbers to contact (neither worked/went through to anyone). I then contacted Viator (spoke with Joan) and explained the situation. I was told that they could not amend the reservation because it was within 24 hours of the time of the tour despite the issue having NOTHING to do with me and all to do with what was being sold through Viator. I was told the only other option was to “request” a refund with the tour company through Viator. However, it was just a request and could be denied in 7-10 business days. Please note, while on the phone with Viator, I asked multiple times to speak to the supervisor and was given the run around (“they are busy with someone else,” “they aren’t available”) and I never was able to speak to the supervisor. Finally, after being on the phone with Viator for almost 1 hour, Joan from Viator asked to speak directly to Sebastian at the tour company (they were on speaker phone so I could hear the whole conversation which consisted of nothing but summarizing what the situation was even though both parties were already aware). After I hung up the call, Sebastian suddenly gave up and put the four of us on the 1:30 pirate boat sailing with what appeared to be no hassle to him. While this whole debacle was unfolding, which ended up taking more than 1 hour of pure hassle to us, we had planned to do other activities at the pier but could not because we were on the phone with Viator and being rudely dismissed by the tour company. Also, please note that the sailing was supposed to be at 1:30 but we weren’t even allowed to board the boat until almost 2:00 so it left late as well. We all had to wait in a line in the hot sun unshaded starting at 1:15 while I could plainly see that the staff on the boat were sitting eating sandwiches and chatting even after the 1:30 start time. The kids were also supposed to get pirate hats (listed as an inclusion with the price of the ticket) which no one received as well. With all the time we spent dealing with this nightmare, we spoke with another group of 12 adults who had the same exact problem as us and was told they were to sail on the regular boat even though they also booked the pirate boat through another vendor. Overall, for the hassle this caused our family, this was NOT worth the money. Do not book this tour or any tour with Miami Aqua Tours! And also, BEWARE of Viator’s amending/cancelling policy even if it isn’t your fault. They do not care and will not help you!

It was a decent experience. Seats are first come, first serve but as the ride goes along people tend to move around anyway so it’s no big deal. Nice ride, informative and had okay music. Only thing pirate themed was the boat itself and the dressing of crew members.

We had a great time , a family of 5 kids aged between 10 & 6. We only had a couple days to check out Miami. It was well worth the money to get out on the water and see Miami from the bay. Kids loved the pirate ship and they had the music going the whole trip. Good times!

Very disappointed.. there is nothing about pirate theme at all. Unfortunately, can’t recommend it to anyone

We’d like to clarify that the description of our tour on Viator clearly explains that this is an experience aboard a pirate-themed boat, but it does not include specific interactions related to pirate activities or characters. Music and selection of drinks were great, and seeing the nice houses and learning about the area was interesting. The hosts were knowledgeable and the pirate ship was very unique and cool.
