Great communication prior to trip; they accommodated my hotel pickup. Our guide, Frank, was very knowledgeable and willing to go at our pace.
We did not opt to visit the obsidian factory after the pyramids, so my only feedback is that I wish there was another option to stop somewhere on the way back—perhaps to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Thank you for your comment, we have an other tours where we have the option with Basilica de Guadalupe, and in the itinerary we explain that we stop in the workshop, is a breve explication about the obsidian and the textile and colors in the region and it doesn’t takes more than 20 min. Fantastic private tour. They were very flexible with our timing for pickup and lunch. We went straight from Mexico city to Teotihuacan which meant we got there before all of the crowds which was nice. The tour guide Stephy had great English and was super knowledgeable about everything. There are lots of steps so wear comfortable shoes. We went to La Gruta for lunch, which was fine. The mezcal tasting and shopping stop after the pyramid tour was fun.

Enedina, our guide, was on time and a very good driver. She clearly has a passion for the history of Teotihuacan and she did a great job of passing that knowledge on to us. What a brilliant tour of Teotihuacan. We had our tour guide Frank to ourselves. He was very friendly and very, very knowledgeable. I thought I knew a bit, but what I knew pailed into insignificance against his knowledge about the site. Frank not only knew his stuff but was very approachable and helpful. Couldn't want for a better guide.

Ernesto was an amazing guide! He was super informative and adaptable! We had to deal with the marathon today, 2 sick people, and the hot sun- and he wasn’t fazed by any of it. So accommodating to our needs. But most of all- his knowledge was incredible! Can’t recommend this enough!

This private tour was the highlight of our trip! From the start, our driver Eduardo made the journey smooth, safe, and fun with his friendly and engaging personality. Our guide Gerardo was equally fantastic, knowledgeable, energetic, and passionate about history and culture. He truly brought Teotihuacan to life as we walked the pyramids and ruins, giving us a deeper connection to this incredible part of history.
The experience did not stop there. We had an amazing lunch at La Gruta Teotihuacan, dining inside a magical cave while enjoying some of the best Mexican cuisine we have ever had. To top it off, we visited Artesanías Finas El Sol, where we learned about ancient painting tools, sampled tequila, and browsed a wide selection of beautiful souvenirs.
We highly recommend this tour and especially Eduardo and Gerardo. They made the entire day unforgettable. If you are visiting Mexico City, make sure this experience is on your itinerary!

This was an extraordinary tour of the temples. The site is magnificent and well worth seeing -- but our our guide Roberto brought it all to life! His knowledge of Mayan culture is practically encyclopedic and he went much farther by giving us insights into the Spanish colonization and its influence the Mexican culture. Wonderful tour. Geraldo was an excellent guide. He was extremely knowledgeable. We started at one end of the ruin and walked to the other end learning very interesting facts along the way. Much more thorough the the bus tours. Very good communication from Tekpan tours throughout the entire process. Highly recommend.

Our guide, Ernesto, had a background in archaeology. He also loved to share what he knew and loved. That’s a great combination for a tour guide. When he saw how interested we were, he dug deep (pun intended) to inform us about Teotihuacan. At the end he mentioned that we could buy souvenirs at a workshop if we wished. But he wasn’t pushy about it at all; entirely our choice. And that was a fine and meaningful addition. Thanks!

We think the maguey and obsidian workshop is cool because the artisians share very interesting facts about the plant and the stone and if you wish you can also take the chance of having authentic pieces from real artists.

excellent private tour of the pyramids. Our tour guide, Pepe was too terrific. Very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I’m usually not one for a lot of history, however, his explanations and information of the pyramids was perfect. We also went for an excellent lunch which he recommended. When we got back to Mexico City, he gave us some recommendations for dinners and an excellent chocolate shop. We stopped by the Chocolate shop the following morning and it was excellent.

Our family of four had an amazing tour of Teotihuacan with Pepe. Pepe was an excellent guide who is extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, personable, friendly, fun and speaks excellent English. Pepe led us on a tour, not only the Sun and Moon pyramids, but also took us to the Quetzalcoatl pyramid and the extensive residential palaces and houses. To walk into the residential palaces with no one there and see the structures which includes some wall painting, water and drainage infrastructure, and even a shower was amazing! We spent almost 5 hours at the Teotihuacan site with Pepe. After the tour, Pepe took us to a nearby wonderful local resident restaurant with a nice garden and view the pyramid. All four of us would highly recommend this tour with Pepe!

Ernesto was a terrific tour guide for our Teotihuacan tour. He was so knowledgeable and presented the information to us in a manner that was easy to digest and understand. He kept the tour interesting and light and funny. He and the driver Rodolfo was on time to pick up our group from our AirBnb. The van was comfortable and the drive was relaxing. It was nice to check out a little bit more of Mexico City during the van ride. The tour company was communicative and helpful with booking a restaurant for our lunch. Overall, our group had a great time and would book again.
