Amazing experience from start to finish. Communication was great, Erika our driver was so friendly and kept us safe, and Montserrat was an amazing guide while showing us the Sun and Moon temples. We really appreciated her. They also gave us hats for that part of the tour, which was a lovely touch as it was very hot. The sunrise hot air balloon ride was absolutely worth the early wake-up — such an unforgettable bucket-list experience. Would definitely recommend.

An experience of a lifetime. Very well organized, awesome staff. Go with the full package, it is well worth the price. You're provided a personal driver to take you everwhere after the balloon ride. I cannot say enough good things about our driver Ernesto and our Captain Alan, both so friendly and patient, especially with our lack of Spanish speaking abilities.

It’s worth the early morning wake up. They serve coffee and tea on arrival. We also had the guided tour of Teotihuacan afterwards and that was really worth doing for an understanding. The hot air ballooning was so professional.

I booked this experience for a private balloon ride with private transportation for my husband’s birthday and we had an amazing experience. The private transportation pick us up on time and waiting for us during the entire experience. The balloon experience was fantastic! None of us had ever been in a hot air balloon before, and this experience did not disappoint. They had coffee upon arrival and the check in was very smooth. The sites while in the air were unforgettable! I would highly recommend this. They also gave us mimosas when we arrived back on the ground! How classy! The only reason I didn’t give this experience 5 stars is because the breakfast buffet that we were taken to after the balloon experience (which was at a separate hotel close by) gave a few of us food poisoning. Less than ideal when you have many more days left in your vacation.

Thanks for your review. We do our best to meet our own high standards and are not aware of anyone else getting food poisoning from the restaurant where we take hundreds of people for breakfast as well as eating there on a daily basis without problem. I hope it didn't last too long and you were able to enjoy the rest of your stay in Mexico.

Carlos (driver) and Luis (Teotihuacan guide) were excellent. We were picked up on time, the drive was smooth, and Carlos was very hospitable. The balloon ride was a fun experience, felt safe, and we liked that we had the option of buying the drone and GoPro shots. The tour of the archeological site was short and not super extensive but it was enough for us. Luis seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. He pointed out stuff and shared context that we would not have been able to know if we did it on our own. Star is deducted because the breakfast at El Jaguar was very mid. We strongly suggest that the tour operator explore other options for food if possible.

Fair comment on the food. It varies and we do our best by adding food options and giving advice on improvements but it is hard to find a super restaurant to work with that opens early enough. . We had our own restaurant for a while precisely for that reason but it proved unviable. I had a great breakfast there this morning!!

We arranged a private pick up at the hotel, which was a great idea because I was traveling with my sister and this made us feel very safe and comfortable. The whole experience was magnificent and we were treated wonderfully. The balloon ride was exceptional. We opted for the private Balloon ride with Champagne. I highly recommend this. I have absolutely no regrets.

A wonderful experience from start to finish. On time pick up. The morning was cold but there were heat lamps, blankets, and hot coffee. Our pilot David was very knowledgeable and make us feel safe from take off to landing. As for the balloon ride, it was the most beautiful view of the ruins and sunrise. We then ate a delicious buffet breakfast, saw the ruins and went back to the hotel.

Our private hot air balloon ride and tour of Teotihuacan was amazing. Ernesto was our driver for the day and was a calm, accommodating, and very patient person. David was the pilot of our balloon and the views he showed us were magical. Lewis was our guide onsite and we learned so much from him. A truly special and memorable day organized by Flying Pictures Mexico. So worth it!

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Communication was prompt, we were picked up on time from our hotel. The team on the ground at Flying Pictures explained everything to us when we arrived and our Pilot made us all feel safe and sound in our balloon. We had 1.5 hours at the site (we chose no guide here) which was just about enough time. Once in a lifetime experience and we are very glad we made the decision as a family to do this tour.

Everyone involved in trip was great and as advertised. Our driver was on time and kind. The balloon experience was amazing. They took professional photos of us on the ground and in the air to add to our own stunning photos. Our kids (and us) were thrilled. Then, our Teotihuacan guide, Luis, was incredibly knowledgable and went the pace our kids could manage. A long, expensive day that was worth it.

the reception when we arrived was warm and friendly. immediately they offered hot coffee and tea which was nice and there was a heater for the guests to warm up in the cold morning.
we just had the wait for the balloons to be setup and we were having fun having a “photoshoot” which of course they will give you an option to buy later. i could see the staffs working really professionally to get the balloons up. what i am really impressed about is definitely the skill of the pilot. he totally nailed all the beautiful views we were supposed to see. helped of course by the good weather we had. navigating high and low with ease and getting close to the pyramids. turning the balloon around for everyone to have a opportunity to have the views.
nice champagne toast at the end, of cos do not expect high end champagne but it was fun. and they present u the certificate at this time. it’s cool.
the breakfast later at la canasta was super delicious. i didn’t expect such a large variety of food for the breakfast. enjoyed it totally!

Really great service! I would recommend Flying Pictures to anyone visiting the Pyramids. The flight was beautiful and smooth-we felt safe the entire time. Coffee and cookies were offered before we got in the balloon and the breakfast afterwards was the best one we had in Mexico. 10/10

What a great trip to see the Pyramids of Teotihuacan! A perfect hot air balloon ride to see an ancient site. Every detail was considered and planned by the professional team. From welcoming goodies (it was early in the morning, after all), to a great pilot and crew, then breakfast and a private tour guide. And, to top it all off, we had a private driver to take us to and from the activities. What a great experience.

This was one of the most special and unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had. The day was amazing from start to finish: early in the morning (5:15am for us) we were picked up at our hotel by Ernesto, our wonderful driver who really became our friend by the end of the day. We arrived at the hot air balloon site around 6am, greeted with coffee and cookies. We were told which balloon we would be in, and got to watch them set it up which itself was a cool experience. Then we got in the balloon and it was absolutely magical watching the sunrise and floating over the Teotihuacan ruins. We landed and were transported back to site, where we were able to purchase footage (photo and video) of our journey. The whole staff was professional and kind. Ernesto then took us to breakfast which was set up with many different delicious options. We decided to do the guided tour of the Teotihuacán ruins as well, and we had a great tour guide who was so knowledgeable and funny (Luis). After an incredible day, Ernesto drove us back to the hotel and we said goodbye. I can not say enough good things about this tour, book it! You will not be disappointed.

The cool morning air and the sight of giant balloons inflating in the fields all around, set that stage for what was an experience everyone should enjoy at least once in their life.

Ok call me paranoid....ok stood next to the balloon ready to get in. We're on the right side close to the basket (non mexicans) and a group of (mexicans) stood all the way on the other side. Then I just thought these action odd....we were then told not to get in the section closest and they directed the mexican group to pass us and for us to pass them to go in the opposite baskets, it was a little awkward moment as were then passing one another for what appeared to be no reason, it would just make sense going in the closest basket. Ok. So now you'll be saying weight distribution blah blah but from what I could see this made no obvious sense either given the occupants. We then went to get in the other side and we were told to go to the back and another mexican lady got in at the front. I just at the time thought it an odd transaction of events and requests. But then we got into the air and on approaching the pyramids it became apparent that our section had the worst view. Again...call me paranoid but it seemed clear that the staff had favoured their countrymen to ensure they had the best view.
Our balloon also seemed to have a shorter time up in the air than many others.....

Hi. I am sorry you had this strange experience. I can assure you we go out of our way to ensure everyone has the very best experience and the basket can be rotated. Also once over the pyramids the ‘back’ becomes the best view point.
It is always disappointing to read reviews like yours and get such a low rating when there is certainly no malace involved and one pilot in particular takes his peso balance very seriously. I would be happy to offer you a free flight in compensation if you are back soon or live in Mexico. We do our best!!!!

The hot air balloon ride was amazing, however, if you choose a tour without a hotel pick up, be ready to be lost at 6am. Our uber driver could not find the address because the company gives an incorrect address. We don’t speak Spanish and the driver didn’t speak English, but he was nice and super helpful and spent an extra 30 min to locate the place. I tried to contact the tour operator, but nobody returned my call. We were 15 min late and had a whole balloon to ourselves. Also, they don’t tell you that you have to climb in the basket, and it you’re not fit or having knees or hip problems it can be very difficult. We took a private guide at the pyramids for 1,200 pesos for the group and I think it was really worth it. You can walk there without a guide and use a google tour 🤷🏻♀️

We recommend using our preferred transport services. We do give the correct address together with our location for maps but as it is a field the UBER drivers occasionally get confused. Our service is about the same as UBER but with less anxiety! We do have means to help people into the basket. Door openings are still not common
