The Fiesta Americana hotel is in the hotel zone very close to the monument to the homeland, if you tell us which hotel you are in we can come pick you up. Our driver guide will wear a shirt with the logo of a pyramid and the name Esplendor Yucatán. 1:15 HRS. transfer from your hotel in Mérida to the first archaeological zone that we will visit (Uxmal), at the end of our meal it will take 1:15 HRS. to return.

Great experience with a knowledgeable guide. It was a pleasure spending the day with our guide Claudia. We learned a lot. The best part of the tour were the lesser visited ruins for the complete “Indiana Jones” feeling. Thank you.

We had an amazing time on the Ruta Puuc with Victor and Claudia! It was the only tour we found that would take us to see more of the sites along Ruta Puuc. Victor and Claudia were very thorough in guiding us through all four archaeological sites. We gained a lot of new knowledge about the symbolism behind the architecture in this region and how they reflect the values of the people in these societies. We highly recommend this tour if you are interested in learning more about the unique culture in this region!

We had a fantastic time with Claudia on the Ruta Puuc! She is knowledgeable, personable, and has a nice sense of humor. She was punctual, thoughtful, and attentive. It was an all day excursion, but the time flew by in the best way possible. It was really fascinating to see four different mind. Cities representing four different historical periods. Uxmal was our favorite, the carvings were breathtaking and Claudia helped provide historical context that brought everything to life. We hope to book with her again on our next trip to Merida!

Highly recommended tour of the Puuc route with Claudia who was knowledgeable and friendly - driver on time and good quality comfortable car. The sights are little known so plenty of time to explore and time by oneself as well. Good meal.

Excellent tour! Our guide Victor very knowledgeable of Mayan history and culture. He also shared his knowledge of native plants. We appreciated travelling to the less visited ruins without the large crowds.

The Ruta Puuc has beautifully decorated Mayan sites. Our guide, Victor, was a wealth of knowledge and shared that knowledge with enthusiasm and humour. Because it was a small tour, Victor could spend more time on things of interest to us and we could go at our own pace. Each of the sites is unique and well worth seeing. I would highly recommend this tour!

This is THE way to see ancient ruins. Forget about the insane crowds at Chichen Itza and experience the Puuc Route like you owned the place. Go in January and the weather is beautiful with virtually no bugs. Our guide Victor was great. We almost had the place to ourselves and this isn’t that unusual.
Plenty of opportunities for good pictures without hundreds os touristas standing in your way.

With studies in archaeology and hospitality, Claudia embodies the ideal tour guide for the Yucatán. She’s terrific: extremely knowledgeable, very pleasant and practical. Before we even met, she provided excellent advice via WhatsApp on what to bring. On the ride to Uxmal we learned a lot about Mexico, Mérida and the Mayas. We arrived at Uxmal well before the crowds, and by the time we left there was a long line trying to get in. Claudia, guided us and pointed important details, placing everything in context. We then visited three other sites, which helped us get a sense of relations between cities, evolving stiles and a better understanding of the Maya culture. We capped the day at a roadside restaurant, where we had a typical Yucatán meal. We expected a small group, but were surprised that my wife and I had Claudia all to ourselves. We had read a couple of books about the Maya before this trip, but we learned so much more with Claudia. We had been looking forward to this excursion, and all our expectations were surpassed because of Claudia.

We had an amazing time on the Puuc Route. Our guide Victor was incredibly knowledgeable and insightful about each location and was proud to share the history of the Mayan culture and the Puuc Route. The stops were well paced and we never felt rushed. Definitely recommend this tour if you want an intimate, unforgettable experience.

Had an amazing tour with Victor. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I was very impressed with all of the locations we saw, and the ability to get up close to so many ruins.
If you are looking for a quieter tour to some of the lesser known places, with tons of history, this is the one.

If you are interested in prehispanic Mayan sites then this is a great tour. We went to Uxmal and then 3 other sites that few other tourists go to. Each had stunning buildings and all were set in the forest which meant a little bit of walking on uneven surfaces but otherwise perfectly doable and getting into the countryside was an added bonus. It was a welcome relief to visit uncommercialised sites. Claudia was a delightful and knowledgeable guide and the visit was rounded off by a delicious lunch.

We had a great time touring four of the sites along the Ruta Puuc with our guide Victor. The pace was good - enough information to be interesting and informative without becoming exhausting - and he was easy to be around (important on a private tour). Also, the included lunch exceeded expectations! Truly regional food (sopa de lima, cochinita pibil) that did not feel unnecessarily whitewashed. Considering this is one of the few opportunities to tour this much of the Ruta Puuc (vs just Uxmal and then the chocolate museum) I'd highly recommend for anyone interested in touring multiple Mayan sites in a day.

This tour was absolutely worth it! If you're thinking about going to Uxmal, do this instead—you’ll learn so much about the ruins along the Puuc Route and still spend plenty of time at Uxmal.
Claudia was an incredible guide—super knowledgeable, kind, and full of details. She also spoke highly of her colleagues.
(Don’t overlook the fact that you need to be in good shape for this one—there’s a lot of walking and climbing. Also, bring more cash than you think you’ll need and way more water than you expect I’d also suggest an umbrella, even if you think you’re too “cool” for it. And remember sunscreen!)

This was a very excellent tour of the Mayan ruins in the Yucatán. Claudia was an excellent guide and was enthusiastic to share facts about each site. She was also very patient with my 4yo son who lost interest a few times throughout the day. My husband loves learning about ancient civilizations, and Claudia took the time to answer all his questions and let him spend as much time as he wanted at each site! It was a great time!

This was a private tour to 4 archeological sites for just my partner and me. The two tour leaders were outstanding, and the sites were amazing. Three are off the beaten track, but very interesting. One is a major Yucatan attraction that I had visited before (Uxmal), but I learned so much on this tour that I didn't know from my previous visit. A wonderful way to spend the day!! I highly recommend it.

We toured 4 Mayan sites on the Ruta Puuc. Our guide Claudia is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history and times of the Maya., but was it never felt like a lecture.

Claudia was amazing! She was a knowledgeable guide, friendly and bi-lingual. She took us to see all 4 sites before the crowds, it felt like walking into the ruins alone. The sites were breathtaking, you can get close up and see how the culture changed with time. It is a lot of walking so comfortable shoes is a must and i wouldn't do this tour during heat. We did it in December and i think anything hotter would be uncomfortable. On the plus, Claudia had cold bottled water and a nice new suv with the ac on each time we got in the car. After the sites she took us to a restaurant for lunch, they had vegetarian options not just a play of veggies which I appreciate and my parter had a traditional pork meal which he said was great.
This tour is worth the money and time. See if you can get Claudia she was the best.

We learned a lot during our trip through Ruta Puuc. It’s a nice collection of pyramids and ruins of palaces. It’s not crowded and we’re so glad to start at Uxmal first early in the morning. At each site, our tour guide Claudia really took the time to explain the history, who might have lived there and how their lives would’ve been. Claudia was such a trooper from picking us up early in the morning at our hotel and did lots and lots of walking with us. Late lunch at a local place at the end of the tour before getting dropped off at the hotel was a nice bonus. Comfortable shoes and sun umbrella is definitely a must. Highly recommended this tour.
