Authentic and fun experience. A friend and I went for the first time. Lovely ladies, great scrub and added on a massage which was wonderful. The ladies were welcoming and friendly.

If you’re looking for a truly traditional Moroccan hammam, Mouassine is as authentic as it gets. As the oldest hammam in Marrakesh, it offers a glimpse into centuries-old bathing rituals — and what an experience it is!
Don’t worry about language barriers; everything is guided through simple, mostly non-verbal cues, and you’re effortlessly directed from one stage to the next. You’re doused with varying temperatures of water, then thoroughly soaped and scrubbed — and I mean scrubbed within an inch of your life! It’s intense, invigorating, and oddly satisfying.
The experience finishes with a very vigorous massage that leaves you feeling both relaxed and completely refreshed. Nothing fancy, nothing luxurious — just a basic, traditional, wonderfully effective hammam that does exactly what it promises.
Highly recommended for anyone wanting a genuine Marrakesh experience.

The Hammam process was great but my experience here was not. Listed as a 1 hr experience I was there for 2 and almost missed my dinner reservation. Made it through the first few steps but then got forgotten and sat around for much longer than I think I was meant too. Lots of waiting around and wished I had gone to a public space and just brought my own stuff to do it.

It is a real thing, no fancy SPA. Women scrub your body and wash it! The building is old. They have lockers.

At first we thought the entrance is a bit dodgy but we relaxed straight away as soon we walked in. Had the full Hamam experience including massage afterwards. Skin felt as soft as a newborn baby and the complimentary tea was appreciated too.

Everything was absolutely wonderful the experience of a traditional Hammam is very different experience to having a modern spa. The ladies who work in the Hammam work very hard I like to thank them. 🙏🙏🙏👌👌👌❤️❤️❤️

It’s in a Souk. A very traditional and old authentic hammam. Don’t expect luxuries. I have a few questions about the hygiene but as a whole it was a worthwhile and authentic experience. The women who massage you are strong and experienced. I loved it. As a whole it was an awesome experience

This experience was very eye opening. We got to experience a traditional Hammam and were amongst locals. You are able to wear your underwear if you feel uncomfortable. Fatima was very helpful during the process and we felt brand new after. I would definitely recommend to anyone after an authentic Hammam as the price is also reasonable. We didn’t manage to book a massage as it was fully booked but we would have loved to try it.

This is a traditional hammam in the middle of the souks. It has a very traditional approach and you certainly come out glowing!
If you are looking for a lush, 'insta-worthy' spa type place, this is not it.

Great experience! Being someone who’s never had something like this done, I was pleasantly surprised! They guide you through everything so if you’re not sure what to do, just ask! Felt very relaxed afterwards and had the best mint tea of my trip here!

It was exactly as I imagined. It’s a basic service, but it made me think this is how it was hundreds of years ago. We paid for the scrub and massage. It was a no frills experiment but it felt amazing. We didn’t need to take any supplies; they provide it all (slippers, mat, bucket, black scrub, glove, towel). A unique experience for anyone looking to experience a hammam the way locals do.

It’s not boutique but WOW!!! well worth the time, we left feeling on cloud 9 and rejuvenated
I suggest booking this in the first few days of your trip your body will thank you ☺️

Nothing there worth the money paid. Wrong address and hopelessly searching the medina souks for nearly an hour just to find it. Overall service very poor. I would definitely not recommend it to anyone.

I'm really glad I read the reviews first just for a heads up- it is definitely an experience but recommend going for an authentic Hamman. The lady at the front desk spoke English but once you are through you rely on hand gestures. You get scrubbed head to toe wearing just undies/swimmer bottoms (And the woman doing your experience also just in Undies). At one point they came off as well so my bottom got scrubbed! This is not a place to go if you are shy or modest. You spend time lying on a mat or the floor so also unsure of hygiene but it's all part of the experience. I have never felt more smooth on my skin- felt amazing after. My partner got offered mint tea which never arrived and I didn't get offered any so some inconsistency with that but otherwise we really enjoyed it. Would go again.

Loved this!! This is your heads up. It's traditional hamam so they will make you take your underwear off and you will fully nude women, They don't speak English but they really clean you up like you are kid, loved it!! will do it again.

A must when you visit marrakech. Thank you! The staff do not really speak English, but you can get by- no need to bring a towel, everything is provided, just bring change of clothes and you can store in the locker.

So old school that they most definitely do not care about this review. A truly authentic experience. No frills. If you're looking for a traditional scrub that borders on a beatdown, this is your ticket. And you will feel GREAT afterwards.

The staff were absolutely lively abd attentive. They did a great job. However the waiting are need some attention eg. floor. In the bath house attention to hygiene as regards to some kind of disinfecting, especially the mats after each of the clients. All in all a good experience.

A wonderful first time experience. The place was hot like a sauna. A lady scrubbed me from head to toe which left my body light and rejuvenated. The place was clean and organized.

A wonderful traditional Moroccan Hammam experience! This isn’t a spa, so you won’t get pampered, but you get the authentic experience and body scrub. If you’re a man make sure you take dry underwear to change into after because you keep these on and they’ll get wet. The man who washed me didn’t speak much English but we managed to communicate well enough. I would really recommend this experience to anything you might get in your hotel. Will definitely do it again.

A very real and authentic experience. Friendly Women (for myself) and Men (for my son). Would definitely recommend this experience. The details should advice you on what you should bring to wear haha as we didn’t take spares.
