Not as good as expected

Christopher_A, Feb 2026
This was ok, but could have been far better. It was advertised as "3 hours (approx.)" in duration, but was less than 2 hours in total, including over 30 minutes for Moroccan tea and sampling our creations at the end. Our instructor didn't speak French or English, so communication was limited and we had to rely on occasional explanations from another member of staff who occasionally joined is. We probably spent only about 30 minutes actually making pastries, and then the instructor did a lot of the making, possibly because they could not communicate what we should be doing. We were not involved in the cooking at all. We were underwhelmed compared to other experiences we tried.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Hello Christopher Thank you very much for your taking time to leave the review about the experience Concenring the duration, the maximum is 3 hours if we have big group of 10 people or over as the baking time is also included in that duration For the date of the experience, you were only 2 people, same pastries were made but less timing due to the number , its normal The assistant was there to explain what you will be making and also if you had any questions and the chef was there to guide you and show you the technics, its very hands on experience, its all about watching and using hands The recipes were sent after as well For the baking, it's the step to put the pastries in the oven and waiting for it, nothing involved

Avoid this Scam

Operator will try to change the time on you and will disregard the time posted on the Viator listing. Be prepared to miss the experience entirely because they choose to go off of a different time. They have not refunded me and I’ve reported them to Viator.

Response from Host, Jun 2023

Hello Kassra You were 1 hour late cause you thought it's spanish that's why you did miss the experience and we did offer you a refund or to join us on different date You did confirm us the reception of the location and departure time but at the end you didn't show up We've been hosting this experience For years and can't accept someone accuse us from scam ( It was your mistake cause you won't on time)

We had a fun time baking two quite different types of Moroccan cakes/pastries. We also learnt about how to make Moroccan mint tea, properly & got to have this with our warm bakes from the oven, which were delicious. Authentic & our cook:guide spike excellent English.

great pastry class

this was an awesome experience. we made traditional Moroccan pastry cookies and sipped on mint tea. if you take this class, figure out which cookies you like to make and the chef will try to show you how to make them.

Response from Host, Nov 2023
