Great day out

Peter_M, Jan 2026
If you enjoy a walk and want to get a flavour of rural life in Morocco, then I would definitely recommend this tour. The itinerary is varied, the guide, Lahcen, was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The minibus was extremely comfortable and the driver was excellent. We had a great day.

Fantastic experience

Make sure you bring hiking boots It was an amazing trip our guide Husslef was very knowledgeable and very helpful We were made very welcome in his home and felt very safe throughout the trip

Fun day out with beautiful views of the mountains

chris_C, Oct 2025
We both enjoyed this day out, I was initially frustrated as the Viator app asked me for my hotel leading me to think we'd be picked up from there however it turns out most were collected at a meeting point in the medina if you are not based centrally. The bus was comfy, water was provided. The camel ride was fun short interlude in the journey to the mountains, lots of photo opportunity. The Argan Oil stop was a great way to see how locals are being helped by the cooperatives and also provided fun, a snack to be able to taste the oil, nutella dips they can produce as well as beauty products. The walk was relaxing for us as we're used to hikes to waterfalls in UK so we were used to the hill, it's not overly strenuous to walk. The only downside is the bombardment of sellers around the waterfall which doesn't allow you to sit and enjoy the surroundings in peace. Lunch provided was really tasty accompanied with a beautiful view of the village in the valley surrounded by mountains was the relaxing part away from crowds and sellers. The trip started at 8.30 and we returned by 6pm all in all a fun way to get out of the centre and mingle with other tourists.

Fantastic tour

I can't say enough about our tour guide Mustafa. Mustafa went out of his way to assist me with my concerns and issues and made our trip a memorable one. I unfortunately could not make the hike up the mountain and Mustafa made arrangements to have a taxi drive my hubby and a I up to his family's residence to meet the rest of the group who did make the hike. The gathering during lunch and the meal was great. The camel ride is a once in a lifetime event, a must do! Thank you Mustafa for your and your family hospitality and all that you did for me.

A little hidden gem.

Eileen_M, Jul 2025
This was def a little different, a short camel ride dressed in traditional wear which was great fun. A visit to a cooperative then to the mountains. Lunch was amazing best tasting food compared to the restaurants. our tour guide was very very helpful and knowledgeable 100%, very good at his job. The hike, through the Village and to waterfalls so glad we did it. Took you off the beaten path. At the waterfall had the best coffee and great orange juice from those kids. Def make sure you grab a cup. Would highly recommend this tour. Offered so much value compared to other similar trips.

The best experience of my life!

Isabel_N, May 2025
The kind of experience that you never will forget! Everything is well planned, our guide Omar is so kind and well informed about the berber culture.

Great experience- Atlas Mountains and Berber villages

Richard_C, Apr 2025
You will not get a better value for money tour in Marrakesh. So many different activities packed in, the staff in particular Fouzia were so friendly and generous and it was a great blend of culture, tradition, history and scenery.

Great experience

Ann_F, Mar 2025
Omar was a fantastic guide. He was very informative and went out of his way to take the best photos on the camel ride. It was fun getting dressed up in traditional clothes for this. The visit to the Aragon oil coooerative was good with bread and dips, and understanding how they made the house by hand was so interesting. We enjoyed walk to the waterfall . The highlight was the meal at Omar’s family house and to see his father and grandmother at the end. We felt we really learned a lot about the way of life in the villages We would have given 6 stars if i could We would highly recommend this tour into the Atlas Mountains

Great guide and very entertaining and informative tour! Having lunch at the home of the guide was a highlight of the trip!

Great

Judit_F, Feb 2025
Overall it was a great experience for the money. It was about 15 of us, transport was good. The guide was a very nice local lady (my only complaint: being a history buff and a tour guide myself, sometimes I would have appreciated longer explanations; none of the explanations were longer than about 1-2 minutes) Lunch and tea were better than expected. It was more like 10 hrs instead of the described 8-9 hrs.

A great day out. Our guide Omar was outstanding. The camels rides, visits to Berber villages, lunch and the walk through the Atlas Mountains was memorable. Highly recommended.

Know the Berbers who live in the mountains

Richard_P, Feb 2025
A thoroughly enjoyable experience for anyone who want an interesting trip involving lots activities in spectacular landscape with a guide able to explain about the history, local culture and language of Berber peoples. He shows how tourism helps supports traditional ways in a modern context. Omar could not have been more caring in ensuring that everyone managed everything at their own pace. His explanations were clear and he was alwaya ready to answer questions.

Great day out

Farduesh_R, Jan 2025
My family and I had an incredible day! Faouzia was an excellent tour guide- she was very attentive and organised. We started the day with a camel ride in traditional clothing, then visited an argan oil facility, followed by a delicious lunch at our host’s home. The day ended with a scenic hike to a beautiful waterfall. Highly recommend- 10/10

A lovely place to go visit and the camel ride was so much fun, an essential activity to do in Morocco.

The Best Tour

Grover_C, Nov 2024
Thank you fouzia This is the best day so far in Morrocco. Fouzia, our guide Fouzia and a well-experienced driver, is fantastic. She is so friendly and pays attention to everyone. The mountain is impressive. The snow, the villages, the hike, the lunch, make the journey enjoyable.

Great trip

Luke_T, Nov 2024
Brilliant, can't recommend enough. Loved the camel ride, food and the hike around the village. Thank you!

Atlas mountains

Chris_L, Nov 2024
The camel ride was excellent. Our guide was very helpful in taking photographs and videos of us one video, shot against the sun is fantastic. The berber section was okay but we'd learned this from previous talks. The breakfast though was superb. The hike in the mountains was good and the water falls were great. In summary it was a good day out well organised and interesting.

Better than excellent tour

zaheer_B, Nov 2024
Our tour guide Fauzia was excellent. She was very caring and a true professional. We will like her to be our guide in all our future trips and we will recommend her to all our friends. She deserves 6 stars but can give her only 5!

Really nice trip in the Berber villages!

Katrina_B, Nov 2024
Omar is amazing guide and storyteller. Aside from knowing alot about all the places and activities we went to, we also had the chance to have lunch at his house in the mountains. He made sure everyone is comfortable and is having a great time! Totally recommend this trip and its super worth the price.

Excellent day trip- highly recommended.

Louise_S, Oct 2024
You won’t be disappointed by booking this tour. With such a brilliant day, you get way more than you pay for with Omar. Hotel pick-up followed by a camel ride experience & a visit to the ladies Argan oil co-operative (with snacks, music & dancing!) Onward to the mountains where we ate at Omar’s family home- a delicious tagine! Then a hike through the mountain villages before a final photo shoot at a waterfall. All these activities were so well organised and yet, the most amazing part of the day, was Omar himself! Such a hard-working, personable & knowledgeable young man, very patient & nothing was too much trouble. There were no hidden costs, he is very proud of his Berber upbringing and life in the mountains and we wish him and his family all the success with this tour business.

Excellent experience

Alison_D, Oct 2024
An amazing trip! Our guide Yasmin was really knowledgable and made the day lots of fun! The food was amazing, especially the apple tart! It was really good value for money and would definitely highly recommend.

Fantastic day trip and great value for money

Orsolya_N, Sep 2024
This trip is great value for money. It offers different activities and lots of interesting information was given by Omar, who made sure everything went smoothly. The camel ride was great dressed up in traditional clothes, had good Moroccan tea, and great lunch. They've also made rice for me for the tagine as I need to follow a gluten free diet, which I really appreciated. The hike wasn't bad and after each stretch of ascent (not too many) we stopped to catch our breath and were given some more information, or could ask Omar anything we wanted to know. It is not an exhausting hike at all, we had people from different age groups, but do make sure you have good shoes (not slippers). The van was comfortable and there were plenty of stops, so the longest we spent in the car was on the way back to Marrakech (1.5 hours tops). We were also shown how argan is being processed and could buy some local products that were at high quality (purchase is not compulsory though don't worry). Omar provides a great service and he's taking great photos as well, so make sure you leave a tip. We had a fantastic time, thanks Omar.

An amazing must do trip in Marrakech

Hana_A, Aug 2024
Amazing experience, absolutely enjoyed every part of this day from the beginning to the end. Definitely a must do. Omar was great, well organised, answered all queries before hand. And answered all our questions throughout the trip, Omar was very helpful when walking in the tricky parts. Took great photos. The food cooked by Omar's family was absolutely delicious, tried to upload photos but not able to do so. Thank you Omar for an amazing day.

Amazing day out!!

Christian_S, Aug 2024
We had a wonderful day out on this trip! Omar was very friendly and took some lovely photos of us on the Camel ride! The lunch was lovely and a great cultural experience! Would recommend this to anyone wanting a day in the mountains!!

Wonderful, definitely recommend!

Natalie_C, Aug 2024
Brilliant day - Omar the tour guide was absolutely amazing. So knowledgable about the history and culture. Camel ride was fun and we were looked after very well. Visiting where they produce the argan oil was also really interesting and the products you purchase help the community. Drank Moroccan mint tea several times which was good hydration. Hiking along the Atlas Mountains, visiting the Berber villages (where Omar grew up so a plus that he was a local) and the lunch was delicious. This is a must do for anyone visiting Marrakech!!!

We really enjoyed our holiday in Marrakech. It’s amazing experienced thanks to our tour guide Mr. Omar. I can recommend to book in viator.com. Thank you

A Moroccan must-do!

Ian_D, Jul 2024
Omar was the perfect guide: very knowledgeable about Moroccan history, culture and religion and also a great photographer! Everyone was very well looked after throughout the day with delicious food and the best tea I’ve ever tried.

Deservingly five star

Jatin_M, Jul 2024
Booked this following no show with other provider day before! However completely different and much better experience with this one. Had a message night before from them to advise pick up details. On the day, had a call from Yasmin (tour guide) sharp at agreed time of 8:00 AM waiting for us outside the hotel to pick us up. We were then joined by another family who were also picked up on this tour so in total was 10 of us. Yasmin gave all the relevant information with right rapport and making sure we all understood and answer all of our questions. Carmel riding followed my Moroccan tea was great. Then we went to ladies doing argon oil and berben house/village. Then Atlas Mountain hiking was at right pace and Yasmin ensured we were comfortable all the time. Finally the food that was also included was amazing! Not only Yasmin catered for us as vegetarian but also for my wife who is gluten intolerant. We had bread, salad, vegetarian tagine, couscous (rice for my wife), Moroccan sauce and apple pie for dessert (fruit for my wife). Food was plentiful. We were then dropped off at our hotel. Overall deservingly five star.

Fantastic

Aaisha_K, Jul 2024
Great experience and fantastic guide. Definitely worth it, we had a really good time and learnt a lot!

Outstanding

Graham_R, Jul 2024
Without doubt the best excursion I’ve done on any trip I’ve ever been. 10 hours. Camel Ride in traditional costume, Breakfast, Moroccan tea, hike to waterfalls and dinner at the family home of our guide, Omar, in the Atlas Mountains. A depth of information, and helps to foster a good bond between all the people on the tour. This tour would have been a bargain at double the price. Omar has a great eye for a photograph and will take photos with your own cameras/mobiles.
