If your hotel is a riad located in the Medina (old city) and is not accessible by car, our driver will coordinate with the riad reception to have someone meet you at the nearest drop-off point. If the reception is not available, the driver will arrange for local porters with trolleys or metal carts (“chariots”) to carry your luggage and will help agree on a price in advance, which should not exceed $5.

Itinerary

Begin with morning or afternoon pickup at your hotel in the Marrakech city center, and travel to the winding streets of the old city in an air-conditioned vehicle. See the ramparts that have fortified the city since the Almoravid dynasty, stretching 11 miles (18 km) around the medina, broken by elaborate gates and doors with views to the snow-capped High Atlas mountains

Continue into a craft bazaar whose coppersmiths, tanners, leather craftsmen, and upholsterers display their wares in tiny workshops—this is the perfect time to meet creative locals and get advice on selecting and bargaining for unique souvenirs while in Marrakech. Stroll Djemaa El-Fna, where rows of juice vendors rub shoulders with snake charmers, fortune tellers, and henna tattoo artists. Soak up the colorful atmosphere and chaos in the square, which has been a gathering place for locals and visitors to the city for a thousand years. After visiting Djemaa El-Fna, make the return trip to your hotel, where this tour concludes.

Incredible Experience!

My tour guide was incredible! He guided me through the traditional souk, offering knowledge and insight. He knew some of the local sellers, so they each showed me how their products were made and offered discounts. I was also invited for Moroccan tea by some sellers which was lovely. He then guided me through the newer ‘tourist’ souks and was invited for a soda at the square with a fellow tour guide. He carried my bags, so I didn’t smudge my henna tattoo and was extremely chivalrous. I highly recommend! 10/10 🌟

Well and truly out of this world. Mohammad my guide was amazing, top fella took me to all the best spots and I felt like I had a unique experience especially in the brass quarter where I got to do some intricate work on brass. I never felt pressured or pushed at any point and felt very safe as a lone female traveller. Very informative. Thank you for the best day.

I have used Viatour all over the world and never had a complaint. We booked the Souk Tour to pick us up at 5pm at our hotel. We were allocated a tourist company. We then get texts saying we would be picked up at 3pm and the tour content was changed. After some conversations we finally get the 5pm pick up resolved. The guide picked us up at 5pm and stated that we were undertaking a different tour. After yet more discussion we proceeded on the tour we had booked! The tour guide was superficially nice and almost ran us through the Souke without any explanation of how it is organised etc

Yousiff was so knowledgeable and nice. I was going on another tour the next day around Marrakech with a week long tour and I’m glad I took this because it was a bus of 40 and the guide mainly spoke Spanish and was rushed and very cookie cutter. I would recommend yousiff’s tour!

A LOT of walking that we were unprepared for. It would have been nice if we were kept to the nicer sides of the medina because when you go deeper inside it is filthy and everyone stares because they know you're foreign. We had to ask repeatedly to stop the tour early. The only reason I gave 2 stars was for the spice shop we visited which was lovely.

This tour was a fantastic orientation of the Old City. Abdellah was our guide and we stopped at a couple of historical sites plus the souks and Djema el fna. We also stopped at a carpet co-op,woodworks, had fried donuts along the way. Great intro to the maze of the old town in Marrakech
