Our guide met us in time and we joined another family for this2 hour tour sampling olives, nuts, fried potatoes, snails and sweet treats . We then sat at a street side restaurant just before sun down where locals were breaking their Ramadan fast and we had exactly what they had. This was very special.

This tour offers a number of different tastings, and they are diverse. All of the food stops were clean, and delicious. I highly recommend this for anybody traveling to Marrakech. Come hungry, the portions are very generous.

The tour was very good and our guide provided lots of information and more than enough food to try. We visited a number of different stalls where we sampled a variety of food stuffs that we would not have discovered on our own.

An unforgettable part of our trip to Marrakech. Hamza showed us some unique and not standard places to see the beauty of the area. He took us to a palace with the most amazing tiles and artistry and really showed us what the local food does for a delicious lunch. He was very knowlegable, patient with our many questions and even made sure we got some of the fantastic spices and harrisa from his favorite olive shop. If you get a change to go out with Hamsa, you will smile every minute. He is a gem and is so willing to adjust the trip to what you want to do. We covered so much in four hours! I would definitely trust him to do any tour in the area.

Our lovely guide Hamza was very informative about the Morrocan culture and food, it is not a tour for vegetarians as it is in the souks and there are various dead animals in plain view which may upset them. However, you have to embrace this tour as a meat eater and do it early on your trip then you have an insight to the food available in Marrakech.

Our guide Hamsa was a pleasure to spend time with, very knowledgeable about the local food scene and how to avoid the touristic places for the real deal. Well worth our time. The spice market is more about herbal medicine, and well worth the presentation.

We wanted to explore the 5 senses of all things Morocco and Marrakesh in a foodie perspective....we could not have been more delighted! This is a must do tour. Our guide was so graceful and amazing in his abilities to move us through the medina sampling everything from salty to sweet to meaty and savory...amazing in all ways. We had already seen some of the sights but he was able to take us through the labyrinths of perfectly peaked spices, teas and carnivore delights of all types:-. The meat section with pits roasting the lamb was absolutely amazing. After about 2 hours in the 1000 degrees of roasting the meat fell off the bone and was enough to give us two thumbs up from our neighbor Algerians...so we took a seat and followed their lead with a big chunk of lamb and finger smacking goodness! The cous cous was simply heavenly filled with clouds of flavour...I'm not sure how many hours it takes to create one of those tangines with the deliciously fresh vegetables and succulent chicken but paired with the cous cous it's simply divine! We topped off the tour with the menage or kitchen sink mix of freshly squeezed juices on the main square which could be either an excellent anti-oxidant or a super healthy energy drink. Highly recommend this tour.

Great tour with lots of opportunities to try different food. Also a good way to see the souks without getting lost!

What an amazing experience! If you LOVE food...and I mean the REAL local cuisine, don't miss this tour! We went with our 7 year old and wished we'd had time to do it again. We've traveled and eaten in many countries and this food ranks at the very top! Hamza is a perfect guide and I promise your senses will experience an overload of sights, tastes and smells that you would have never found on your own! Worth every cent!

This was the best thing we did in Morocco and we spent 14 great days there. Hamsa was a great guide and showed us so many amazing nooks and cranies of the medina that we never would have found ourselves. We loved the lamb shoulder, lamb liver, and sardine kefta.

This tour was the first tour that my husband and I did in Marrakech, and it was a huge treat. Hamza, our guide, was one one the loveliest and most generous people whom we encountered in Marrakech. The food tour was varied with many different types of food, and I felt that the tour was good value for the money. Hamza also provided terrific commentary on Moroccan culture and provided a good overview of the city on Day 1. During the day, I mentioned that I loved to try bean dishes when I travel. Since we did not have time during the tour, Hamza arranged for the delivery of the best beans in the city with pastries. It was a lovely surprise, and a very generous gesture. Also, having tried beans elsewhere in Marrakech, they were indeed the best. I would recommend this tour to all of my friends, and I intend to take it again when I visit Marrakech.

Highlight of our trip to Marrakesh hands down. We scoured back alleys in search of the very best food Marrakesh has to offer. We started we piping hot lamb served from an oven dug into the ground that was one of the most delicious things we'd ever eaten. More highlights included spicy sardines Marrakesh style, cous cous tagine that melted in your mouth, warm special scallion pancake-like bread called msemmen. It was heaven. Hamza really loves food and he knew every hole in the wall and the place to get the best one of everything. On top of that he is smart, warm, and friendly, a Shakespeare scholar who spent time working at the Met in New York translating/researching religious texts and can just as easily carry a conversation about Noam Chomsky as the food you're eating. He also accommodated a vegetarian, no problem. Do this tour! It is magical
