We did not complete the entire tour, but want to give our experience on what happened leading up to when we left. We book and researched this tour before booking. In the confirmed booking it says it includes hotel pickup. IT DOES NOT. We were staying in a Riad in the medina and had done a few tours already. All of our previous tours picked up in a specific place near our riad where a vehicle can easily get in and out. When they emailed a couple hours before the tour, they said the pickup place which was new to us. Going back and forth they said they could not pick us up near us but only at this other hotel. This hotel was no where near us, being roughly a 35 minute walk from our normal pickup spot. They were adamant and did reply that we would be dropped off in the proper spot. We walked to the new pickup spot and talked to other people on this tour that also had the same issue. They were never going to pick us up at our hotels. That is fine, just state that in the booking. There was the normal chaos for these types of tours and we were settled into to two vans. Then we waited. It was hot. When we finally started off, the van was incredibly warm. Repeated asking about the AC (also in the booking) but still none. The only airflow was from the front passenger windows and only while the bus was moving. As we were in the back, my husband started to overheat. With the overheating came the nausea. I finally had to have the driver stop, so we could get off. The guide did say we could go to another van, and people on the van offered to change seats and all, but at this point it is was a no go for us. Other people who were also hot/nauseous got off, but I did not see if they got back on. We did not get back on. We walked for a bit and then had to sit down on the sidewalk so my husband could feel better. There was a pharmacy near and we were able to get him some medication. I don't want anyone to think that they dropped in the middle of nowhere, We were still in Marrakech just on the outskirts. After we got the meds there were plenty of taxis to get back to our riad.

We had a great time in the Agafay desert with Mourad! We rode Camels and the ATVs and Mourad even let our daughter and niece try the ATV they had so much fun. There was plenty of food for all and the fire show was hands down the best I have seen and we have been to a few others around the world.

Tourist trap.
Bad music.
Very good food.
Large facility.
The desert is not dunes of sand.
Camels and 4-wheelers are up and back single file down a rocky, dusty road. No ambiance.

We had a great time riding the Camels and the 4 wheelers. Be patient it takes time because there are alot of people there but there is music and dancing to keep you entertained. Or just have a refreshing beverage. The food was good, but the star of the show is the Fire show. I dont want to give too much away but it was definitely a must see.

To start, we realised we had arranged a meet point the other side of Marrakech and needed a different location. This was very quickly rearranged without any problem which was a relief.
The journey was smooth and Mourad well organised. We arrived at the location, very busy with other tours too, Mourad explained everything to us and looked after us well. We had an hour wait before the quad biking.
Quad biking was the absolute highlight, it was amazing to drive through the landscape, the guide was looking out for us all and took us to a great viewpoint where he took photos for us. It was a brilliant experience.
The dinner was ok, luckily we were served first. Full respect to the people cooking and serving to what must have been 80 -100 people. Oranges for dessert the highlight.. they were so sweet and unlike our supermarket versions back home.
Show in the evening, good, traditional music sing along, a funny unexpected dance to pop music then a great fire show.
As soon as the show finished Mourad had us on the bus and out before the other trips, he was on it , well organised, incredibly polite and really wanted us to have the best time.
For the money, the experience was great.

The trip was great , the fire show at the end was amazing. Also the quad bike ride was approx a 45-60 minute drive which was more than enough to get the experience of riding a quad bike in the dessert! I would most definitely recommend but please take a jacket or two as it gets quite cold in the night!

We’ve been picked up at the specific time from the pick up point. I loved the quad bike, but the wait between the quad bike and dinner and then between dinner and fire show was a bit long.

The camel ride is certainly a unique one especially as all the camels have their own personalities.
The dinner was a fantastic dining event.

Really great trip and good value for money. Tour leader on bus regularly checked in to see how we were doing. There was quite a bit of waiting around but al in all a great trip.

The tour guides were super friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. This family run business provided our group of 20-30 people with very personable experience. Camels are well behaved and maintained. Views of the desert were gorgeous. And food was very delicious (they show you behind the scenes kitchen and preparation) and more than generous portions.

What a magical experience this was! I had the most amazing time in the desert with our hosts, the Berber musicians were playing music when we arrived and we danced to our hearts content! And the night music after a lovely sunset camel ride and tagine dinner was also such an amazing experience. Thank you to everyone who made this so memorable and I can’t wait to do this again when I’m in Morocco!

Beautiful scenery, good programs but very loose schedule. It was advertised with hotel pick up and ended up having to walk to a hotel to the other side of the town. The bus was not the most comfortable but did the job. My issue, that there was long waiting time between programs and it wasn't much communication or info sharing between the "Guide" and guests. Waited nearly 1 hour till the Camel ride, which was roughly 15 minutes. Then another 45 mins for the Quad, nearly missed the sunset between waiting and setting up for the activities.
The food was great, the "Berber" entertaining was nice ( not authentic ).
Overall we are glad that we did it, but should have organised tighter schedule.

We booked this experience with Omar Tours via Viator. It was recommended to us by friends that had recently been too.
The pickup was near the Medina and not from our hotel but there was clear communication and a member of staff was there to greet us. They kindly bought chilled water for everyone and took us in an AC Minibus to the desert. The driver was excellent as traffic is bad in Marrakech. At the site we had tea and some local music. Then they offered us costumes and a camel ride. There is an option to also do quad bikes but we had done this before.
Later there was a bonfire and more music and dancing after a wonderful buffet was prepared and it included a few vegetarian options. The chicken too was amazing. A range of salads and couscous dishes.
We then had a final bit of entertainment and were dropped back to Marrakesh. I cannot thank Rachid for all his hospitality and for giving us such an amazing time. If you only do one tour in Marrakech.... This has to be it. Worth every penny.

We are a group of 9 that joined the group for the tour. We were with Nassim during this trip, and he definitely made sure that we enjoy the time. He is very communicative and made sure that our needs are taken care of. Pickup location is easy to spot, and the drive to the camp was straightforward. We had quite a bit of free time while everyone is doing the camel ride. We took plenty of photos with the gorgeous dessert background and lovely sunny day. Our camel ride was just in time for the sunset and we noticed that the path taken was different than the previous batches - this is to make sure that we have a great view of the sunset - which is a great personal touch. The music performance with the bonfire was fun - me and my friends danced around the bonfire, and Nassim made sure that everyone goes along well with the energy. The dinner on the camp is also satisfying. Thanks Nassim! He is definitely proud of the beauty and vibrancy of Morocco, and we definitely felt and experienced the same.

Well run excursion for a quick getaway from Marrakech. I was worried at first that they would be pumping people through, but it turned out to be quite a nice relaxing trip to the desert. There were a few different groups that arrived at varying times, but they had a wonderful tent with rugs and pillows to hang out and enjoy some shade before and after the camel rides. Food was delicious and the hosts were extremely nice.

Our guide, Nassim was definitely the highlight. He brought so much life, fun, and energy to our tour. The car ride is relatively short and they stop to grab water on the way. We picked the 4pm-ish time slot and it was nice to arrive to the desert with some time to settle in, drink tea, take photos, ride camels, all before the sun set. The campfire and music was nice. It was great to get up and dance together, while enjoying some traditional music. The dinner was the highlight. I feel like many places prepare bland food so as not to upset the stomachs of so many foreigners. This food actually had flavor and there were MANY options in case you have dietary restrictions. The ride home was easy, it was a good trip for families or couples.

A unique experience riding a camel! We have a much greater appreciation for people that would ride for hours and hours. The camels looked to be well taken care of and were quite gentle. The dinner we had was very good! Chicken tagine and several other assorted dishes. Entertainment before dinner was lively and fun. Our tour guide Rachid, was very attentive to my wife and I as we waited for our camel ride (8 camels for 10 people). While we waited our turn, Rachid went into detail about the site and Berber life in general.
