The guide gave us a lot of great historical information. Not a lot of food stops but tried a bunch of local foods you probably wouldn’t order on your own. Would have been better if it had been a bigger group. It was just my family so we had no down time to discuss amongst ourselves.

This was a very enjoyable experience. Eillin was a wonderful guide who shared a lot of interesting information about Lyon and its food reputation. We visited some traditional Lyon stores and of course we visited the famous food market. Along the walk she also talked about the buildings and the changes in architectural styles. We tried some traditional Lyonnaise food and had some delicious wine. All the while, Eillin was explaining the history and evolution of the food scene in Lyon.
We would thoroughly recommend this tour.

Ignore the negative comments regarding food and be adventurous to enjoy all that Lyon has to offer. Frankly, I would eat my shoe if it were covered in any of the sauces prepared for us!! I had the best time taking this food tour with Ellin! She was willing to take me on the full tour even though I was the only reservation for the day. Ellin is very knowledgeable and entertaining. Her passion for her city and her culture shines through. The pastries and sweets were the best I’ve had during my stay. Ellin is also a great resource for other recommendations in Lyon. Even though I took this tour on the last day of my trip after being in Lyon for a few days, Ellin provided more information about Lyon that I would have missed during my stay otherwise. Can’t recommend this food tour with Ellin enough!

Eileen was a fantastic tour guide. She lives in the area, and is very knowledgeable. My family and I took a tour in the morning. We were greeted with a croissant, from the number 1 croissant Bakery in the area. We then took some tours of beautiful traboules. We were then given samples of fresh and warm brioche Aux praline bread. Delicious. We also went to a destination where we got cheeses and lots of wines. Eventually making our way to lunch, where we got a lot of wine and local food. Overall, the food, wine, history and tour guide was fantastic. Made me want to stay in the city a few more days.

Great history of the city. Food was fantastic. It was fun to have lunch and try all the "mystery" dishes not knowing what everything was. It made us step outside of our box and try new things. All in all, it is a great tour and Eillin is the best. Would recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Lyon for the first time.

I loved starting the tour with the wonderful croissant. All of our guides choices were wonderful. The cheeses paired nicely with the wine. I especially enjoyed the historical information provided regarding Michelin and the passageways. The lunch was surprising, and even though I'm an adventurous eater, most of the choices were not particularly enjoyable, even though we didn't know what we were eating until afterwards.

The tour itself was lovely. Knowledgeable guide who took the time to make sure all enjoyed their time with her. Good selection of food, although more dessert would have been nice (tiny confection only). My complaint about the tour is the price. Fifty percent higher than comparable tours. Only chose this one as the tour we were supposed to be one was canceled by the tour company at the last minute. This tour was the only one available the day before. Clearly the price is what would scare many away. Sadly, we had no choice.

This isn’t just a Food Tour but a full Cultural experience as well. And not like other tours, Wine is included in the rate, and a generous amount of quality wine and Food.

Wonderfully hospitable guide and exceptionally knowledgeable of the gastronomic history of Lyon. Was a great way to try an array of Lyonnaise food offerings in small portions to find what you like! We had a wonderful time on Eillin‘s walking food tour. Despite a gray and rainy day, Eillin made sure we had fun, ate & drank well, and learned a lot about Lyon. Her knowledge of the city and its history is fantastic. We had already tried a couple traditional local dishes at dinner the night prior, so she was flexible with the plan to ensure we got to try new and different items to get the full Lyon experience. I highly recommend her tour!

We enjoyed walking and experiencing all the history on Lyon, especially the traboules and their significance supporting the silk trade. Learned so much about the Michelin Stars awarded to restaurants. Loved tasting all the different food items especially wine and cheese at La Mere Richard and the chocolates at Voison Chocolate shop. The bochon restaurant was unique with delicious potatoes, meat, quennelles and wine. Eileen is extremely knowledgeable and would highly recommend her tour.

Wonderful experience. We visited the hidden parts of the city and were introduced to the main local delicacies. Some stuff we would never have dared to order so we emerged in new experiences thanks to the wonderful guide. It was a nice way to discover Lyon.
