This was such a wonderful tour!!! Nathalie Was such a wonderful guide… she shared so much interesting information and history, she is so knowledgeable about Lyon and the food!!! I would highly recommend this tour! She took us to some really cool places and we tasted so much great food!

Oliver was very friendly. But the tour was very lacking. Limited to a very small area. Not enough food at all. And the food we had was not good for any city, especially for Lyon.

Anna (our guide) led us through a discovery of Lyon’s food history and culture. We both learnt a lot, tasted a good variety of Lyonnaise food, and came away with some new favourites.

Ashe gave an amazing food tour. We explored the Vieux Lyon, stopping in 2 bouchon, sampling local delicacies, exploring the troubules, and learning the history. She gave excellent recommendations and we would highly recommend this tour and guide.

It’s a great tasting overview of Lyonnaise foods. The 11:30am tour gave plenty of time at the end to roam the shops. Our guide Sib was amazing!!

As food tours go, this was excellent. Great guide, lots of different tastings. Also, by luck, a very nice small group of around 8 people.
I think the negative reviews that I've read about for this tour are actually a reflection of the local gastronomy. "La cuisine Lyonnaise" is very heavy and may not appeal to American palates. It's very different than what we think of as "traditional French."
For example: we tasted a lot of sausage - much of it made from parts of the pig that Americans simply won't go near.
I would certainly recommend this to anyone who really wants to understand the food of Lyon.

Fantastic tour! Oliver was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. I loved that we learned not just about the food but also about the history and architecture of Lyon. All the food stops were great. What a wonderful introduction to this beautiful city (which I think is better than Paris)! :-)

This tour was far better than I expected. Our guide, Sid, was fabulous. She was very knowledgeable about the area and its history. She modified the tour in such a way that we could take our time and walk at a leisurely pace mostly in the shade on a very hot day. The food and drinks we sampled excellent and lunch was very good. I highly recommend this tour!

It’s a wonderful way to really experience the culture thru food. Your guide will also tell the history of the area. The guides are very experienced. We had Oliver who was wonderful. The only item to note is the description says the tour ends where it started. That is inaccurate. Not a big deal unless you have someone picking you up.

This is a great tour. Loved the way Charlotte incorporated history of Lyon with the foods. Stops were well selected and fun. Just beware that there is quite a bit of delicious food and lots of walking ( wear comfortable, sensible shoes). This was a terrific 3 hours. We feel we know Lyon a little better. Would definitely like to have Charlotte for another tour, loved her perspectives and knowledge.

This is a MUST DO in Lyon. We had this mix of history and a lot of wonderful food! Oliver our guide was perfect and made the experience just perfect. Perfect guide, perfect food (a lot! Do not eat before the tour), perfect day!

Little bit disappointed with the food offerings on the tour. Tour guide was great, but value for money was poor. Limited wine offered and just house wine. No coffee offered as was advertised.

Rosie was absolutely wonderful! She was kind, funny and knowledgeable. She gave great recommendations for the rest of your stay there. Rosie was really what made this tour great because it wasn’t the food or the price of this experience. Honestly though that seemed to be the theme of Lyon, despite being the gastronomic capital of France.

This tour was a great introduction to Lyon, and the food that defines the French food revolution. Our host did a fantastic job of showing us local food and wine, and explaining how it came to define French cuisine. She also gave us insight into some very local items including passageways and historic restaurants. I would definitely recommend taking this tour if you are a first time visitor to Lyon.
