The tour included a lovely ride through wine country with Francios sharing lots of facts about the region. At each winery tasted six wines. It was nice to see the contrast between a small operation versus a larger one. Car ride very comfortable. Recommend for anyone wine lover or just wine region curious.

Good wines but poor guide/driver. He left without making sure all patrons were securely in the vehicle, weaved in and out of the traffic and scared all passengers. Spoke down to all English speaking participants often targeting them in what felt like deeming tone. On a positive note, we tried many wines that tasted nice. It is shame the guide ruined the experience.

Eddie, our guide, was nice and engaging, which made the tour enjoyable. We visited two wineries, learned a bit of history, and stopped in a charming town with great views. The wines were fine, though not especially memorable. Overall a pleasant experience, maybe not the best value.

This was a wonderful introduction to the Northern Rhône! We visited two wineries - the first was a much older and more established winery where we toured the facilities and did a guided tasting of 6 wines with some very light nibbles (bread, cheese, meat). Well priced bottles - I bought one to take home for €25. The second stop was a much newer producer who started during covid. It was interesting to learn about how they have started and navigating the complex legal requirements for wines in the region. We tasted four of their five wines and bought another for €13 which we enjoyed by the river in Lyon later that day. Our guide, Eddy, was knowledgeable and friendly, interpreting for the producers when needed. Highly recommend as a half-day experience to learn more about the region’s wines!

Perfect for a half day trip to learn about northern Rhône wines. We learned a lot. Our guide Francois was knowledgeable and pleasant. The meeting location was super easy and the drive out to the wineries pleasant. The tour description mentions the Roman ruins of Vienne. There was no mention of this during our tour. . We did not see it at all. So that was misleading. Overall, a worthwhile trip if you are wanting to do something outside of Lyon that is easy. We really enjoyed learning more about the northern Rhône wines!

Our guide Francios was great. The area surrounding the vineyards was stunning. Francois took us to a great spot for pictures. The two wineries were nice but the volume of wine poured for tasting was very small...so much so that it was difficult to assess each wine.

Perfect half day experience. Meeting space is behind the Lyon Visitor Center in the square.
Both tastings were excellent as well as the trip to top of a hill overlooking the entire wine valley.
We tried seven wines at the first stop with some very light snacks. The second stop we tried six wines, no food. Definitely bring along a snack.
We would recommend the trip if you are looking for a quick 4-5 hours wine experience. Not a lot of extras. Our guide "Matt" was brand new but did an excellent job. Driving is Easter weekend traffic was tough.

Im very glad I did this! Our guide was new to the route so didnt have a ton of deep insider information, but knew enough and was very friendly. I did this as a solo female and felt totally comfortable. We covered a lot of ground in just a half day trip. I didnt feel like the wineries we visited were really the “A-list” producers of the region but they were authentic and enjoyable. The views alone make the trip worthwhile.

Eddy was knowledgeable and apologetic for delays. The trip was below our expectations. The night before the meeting time was changed to 15 minutes earlier. Unfortunately one couple arrived at 9am delaying our departure. The ‘ mini van’ was unpleasant and there were 8 people squeezed in, 6 of them large people. I know French people drive fast but our car ride seemed overly rushed. We didn’t get to walk through vineyards of drive through Vienne. Perhaps the fog could be blamed but overall a disappointing outings and below par for price.

The overall experience for the trip was good. It was a rainy day and the host, Eddy, did his best to make the trip pleasant. Biggest complaint is Eddy dropped us off four blocks from the designated tour end point. We were somewhat disoriented as to the location and struggled to return to familiar area.

The tour was only OK. We didn't visit 3 wineries, only 2. The guide was perhaps not having his best day and was abit impatient with the people on the tour.
We did a Beaujolais tour a couple of days later and had a great time.

I highly recommend the wine tour. Our guide Eddie was super helpful and knowledgeable and the wine was exceptional in both vineyards. The hosts at the vineyards were also exceptional.
