Great Lesson

The aspect of learning how to surf was incredible. As a first time surfer, I got up multiple times and felt great on the board! Our instructor Alberto was a great coach, but honestly kind of rude to us. He kept telling us we do not have discipline or obedience, when of course we are first time learners with no previous experience. He also would speak negatively about the other people in our group when they weren’t present. He taught the skills wonderfully, but also talked to us in a very patronizing way about life, as if we were idiots. He also willingly said he could bring my GoPro out into the water and take videos for us, and then told us he deserved a tip for it. Overall the experience was good and we enjoyed the lesson, but if you are sensitive or just don’t want to be talked down to, I would recommend looking for another company.

I’m a beginner and have taken several lessons from different schools over the world. While I had fun catching a couple waves and pictures for the first time at those schools, Alberto cared about teaching me the fundamental techniques and making sure I was doing them properly. He was also able to easily tell me what I was doing wrong and how to fix them every time, which is super helpful coming from someone with 30+ years of surfing experience, would highly recommend!

Best surf lesson I have ever received! Can't remember the exact name of my instructor but he was very down to business but the technique he taught me was flawless. I stood up almost every time I hit a wave which is so rare for me. If you want to learn how to ACTUALLY surf I highly recommend.

I had little experience with surfing (and apparently poor form), my friend and 9 year old brother had never even attempted it. He gave a very lesson in the sand that took maybe 5 minutes, correcting my form and teaching them what they should do along with the mindset required. He’s definitely a no fuss instructor, but really that’s what you need. Within 15 minutes all of us were standing and catching every wave. The instructor that stayed with my 9 year old brother was so encouraging and kept him from feeling discouraged and really instilled a lot of confidence in him. 1000% recommend, If you’re wanting a fun no bs experience this is where you should book.

We booked the time for 11am but received a text that we would not begin until 12, this was fine for us because we had the time but take that into consideration. Hotel pickup was not included. Overall the experience was good and worth it if you want to learn some basic skills.

Alberto was such a great instructor. He was serious when he needed to be, but really spoke to me on a level I’d understand. I was out for about 2 hours, maybe 10 minutes of technique and safety instructions, then out on the water. I got up on my first ever wave, this was my first attempt at surfing, and with his guidance gained more and more confidence throughout the morning. This experience will stick with me forever, it’s crazy to know “I’ve surfed” the feeling is of peace and excitement all the same time. If I had more time in Lima I’d be iut there with Alberti every morning. Thanks man 🤙🏼🤙🏼

The instructors spoke both English and Spanish and were very good at teaching the basics of surfing to us my husband and I had never surfed before. All of the equipment was provided wetsuit, surf shoes, surf board and we were provided excellent transportation to and from the surf site from the hotel. I would totally do it again.
