Tour covered a lot. Felt like I learned a lot about Peru and Lima. The guide William was excellent. I learned a lot about history and he pointed out a lot of details. It was very interesting making the Larco museum tour incredibly informative for only 1 hour. Ended up at the catacombs as a substitution for a cathedral that was closed which was also incredible. Overall a great tour that covered a lot. You get a chance to go the main plaza as well. The only thing that would improve this would be more time at the Larco museum. It really was an impressive collection. The name of the tour is very fitting, I really did learn about Lima’s heritage!

The Lima city tour was a really good starting point in our exploration of the city. Susanne, our tour guide took us to the historic city centre and along the way gave us an introduction to the history of Lima, some of its highlights and its characteristics. The city centre is lovely, surrounded by important buildings such as the Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, the City Hall. We also visited a couple of museums and churches. The Larco museum is highly recommended. Susanne was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and full of energy and enthusiasm to introduce her city to us and make sure we got the most out of our tour. I would like to make a mention of Viajes Pacifico (VIPAC), since this was the second tour we took with them. We went with them to Machu Picchu too. I found their back office staff too to be very responsive, friendly and accommodating. This is especially important when we visit here as foreign tourists and sometimes need handholding in terms of preparation for certain trips or finding our way around. I would highly recommend the Lima Historic Centre trip with VIPAC

Wonderful Lima City Tour and Larco Museum

Gabriel was extremely knowledgeable. I learned so many things about Peru’s history. He gave us many explanations of the various paintings and other artefacts in the cathedral. There are also so many wonderful pottery in the Larco Museum which he bought to life. I highly recommend this tour.

Booked as a 2.30 (around 5 hrs )30 hrs before message sent moved to 9.00, the tour lasted 4hrs. That said all to plan with Gabriel excellant very clear English. Went to places with a guide that the tourist would not be able to. Even with reduced time good value if you add admissions, taxis. The Larco museum is interesting. So we paid £37.00+ tips
