Beginner Surf Lesson

We had a bit of a tough start to our excursion with some miscommunication. The company took responsibility for it and compensated us for their errors. The lesson itself was awesome. Our instructors, Ty and Barti, were fantastic. They were patient and broke the steps down well. They attended equally to everyone in the lesson and worked to make sure everyone was able to get up on the board, and then challenged those who got up easily. Our kids loved it and this was their favourite activity of the entire vacation!

First Time Surfing with Kids

This was our first surfing lesson, both for us and our children, and we truly cannot say enough positive things about this experience. We were a little nervous at first, but all of that disappeared as soon as we arrived and met our instructors. They took the time to thoroughly explain everything and made sure we felt comfortable and confident before getting in the water. There was plenty of practice on the beach, going over the techniques and movements, which made a huge difference. Since we were surfing with our children, ages 11, 13, and 15, we had two instructors for all five of us. They were incredibly patient and attentive, taking extra time with our kids to ensure they felt supported and had fun. It was very much appreciated. The water was cold, but the wetsuits they provided were perfect and kept us comfortable. The beach they recommended had ideal waves for beginners and could not have been a better setting for our first surfing experience. We would highly recommend this surf school to anyone—especially families looking to try surfing for the first time. It was one of the highlights of our trip and created memories we will never forget!

Bad communication

It is a good experience, however the company communication is very bad. They changed the time of the activity from 8:00 to 10:00 but didn't inform me. Only next morning they said it would be later. Woke up early for nothing.

I think the lesson and the build up was fantastic! Ansan and Emilio (instructors) did great teaching us the basics of surfing and had awesome energy! We met at the sport center and got a lift to the beach 45 mins away. Surfing at a beautiful beach with great waves. The meeting time was 10.30 but we didn’t start the ride to the beach until 11.15 so that could have been a little more effective. I really recommend this course to everyone who is looking for a surfing experience. I never tried before and think it was awesome!

Loved this experience! The meeting point was at a camp that seemed really cool. We went to a gorgeous beach - transportation is provided but you are free to take your own car. Communication on WhatsApp was great and everyone was super helpful. Our instructor, Noemi, was so kind and patient with our group of beginners! She challenged us and gave us helpful pointers while being super encouraging. Loved it all and would definitely go back!

Didn’t go to this event. The company didn’t communicate until the evening before the lesson and provided no information on where to meet. When purchased I was under the impression they’d provide transportation but that was incorrect. Not to mention, the company changed the time of the lesson from a morning time to an evening time (9AM originally was pushed out to 4:30PM) which made things difficult as my friends and I had plans for the evening prior to the change (plus they didn’t inform me until the day before…) Viator wouldn’t provide a refund for this either, thus my reason for not recommending this event. I wasn’t asked to do this, but my friends were under these same circumstances with the inclusion of the surf company requesting that they bring €175 cash to the event which was very strange considering we all paid for this lesson in full. This company felt ill prepared, lacked communication, and seemed a little scammy, especially considering Viator won’t give a refund if you don’t cancel at least 24 hours prior to the event (Which my friends and I wouldn’t have done because the company only communicated within that 24 hour period. STRANGE STRANGE STRANGE)

We are very sorry for your bad experience. In the confirmations we do tell that we only plan the lessons the day before, and the morning time is just a usual timing, not confirmed. We need to do this to be able to provide the best conditions for every level, so the students can have the most fun. :) We cannot predict nature, unfortunately. The payment is an automatic message as well that just shows you how much your course is, as you booked through here, of course we know about your payment, we did not try to scam.
