Amazing! One of the best things I’ve ever done! Sloths are on my bucket list and this did not disappoint! Great day in an off the beaten path place, not a lot of people, small group, perfect experience! Tortilla making to boot! Saw several sloths! It was so amazing! And great information! This is a great tour.

It was even better than expected! The guide was kind, very knowledgeable and more than willing to answer any questions. The park was incredible and the tortilla and juice making activities were so much fun.

We had an incredible sloth tour experience! Our guide, David, was absolutely amazing—he helped us spot five different sloths, toucans and other animals. What really stood out was his deep knowledge of the ecosystem; he explained everything in a way that was engaging for the kids.
We appreciate how patient and interactive he was with them—he truly made the experience fun and memorable for the whole family. The fresh tortilla and sugar cane tasting at the end was such a unique and delicious bonus.

Me and my friends had a wonderful experience with our guide Mar. She was so knowledgeable about the wildlife around us and was a joy to interact with. We got some great photos of sloths, different species of frogs, agouti, different species of birds, and more. We also loved the end of the tour where we got to make tortillas and drink sugar cane juice!

The tour was out of expectation! Sergio was our guide and he was knowledgeable about wildlife. We not only saw several sloths but also learned about sloths anatomy and lifestyle in a very entertaining way. There were also some beautiful birds on the trail, and we actually spotted a tucan at the end of the tour. The tortilla class was fun as well. The weather was crazy that day, but we got absolutely no problem in the woods. I would recommend this tour to people at all ages.

David was an exceptional and very knowledgeable guide. We saw 3-4 sloths an a porcupine and a type of crocodile. It did rain of course but the show went on! The tortillas with cheese were amazing!! 10/10 would recommend

We booked this the day before for something to do in the afternoon. We are so glad we did! What a wonderful couple hours. Jason, our guide, walked us through the wooded (jungle) area that used to be a farm 7 years ago. Huge trees and we saw multiple sloths! Jason did a nice job for locating and pointing his scope at the animals. He also took pictures for us through the scope! The sloths were moving around and that made viewing so fun. We also saw a couple varieties of large lizards, colorful birds and even fruit bats! At the ended we got to crank sugar cane and drink it. Then we made tortillas from scratch and had a snack of tortilla and queso. Overall a great way to spend the afternoon.

We had an amazing experience on the Sloth Tour & Tortilla experience! Our guide, Davi, went above and beyond to make sure we were able to see sloths, and his knowledge and enthusiasm made the tour even better. The tortilla-making was fun and authentic, and the fresh sugar cane juice was absolutely delicious. This tour felt personal, relaxed, and truly memorable. Highly recommend—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Davi as your guide!

It was very fun! It was very beautiful and we saw many animals! We learned about how sloths live, it was a very fun adventure. When we were done with the tour we made delicious tortillas

David was our guide who was absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable and a great personality. I would do this again and recommended to anyone with something for a person of close-up personal experience with the animals. We saw five sloths! David was able to take fabulous pictures for us.

Me and my family has such a great time! The guides were very informative and it was really fun pressing cane juice and making tortillas. We saw both 3 toed and 2 toed sloths, poison frogs, birds, agouti, and much more. I highly recommend this tour.

This was the perfect sloth walk. The group was small and felt personal. Our guide, David, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we all got great pictures of the animals we saw. We encountered sloths, many birds, frogs, lizards, and an agouti. There is no way we would have spotted the sloths without David’s expertise! My kids had a blast pressing sugar cane to make juice and learning to make handmade tortillas after the walk. “Best tortillas I ever had” - my 9 year old son. Highly recommend this family run business.

Jamie was a great tour guide. She took the time to answer questions and to give lots of information. A well organised trip that didn’t feel like hustle and bustle of an organised trip!

This was a wonderful tour! Our guide Jeimmy was sweet, funny, and had an amazing eye for spotting wildlife. We saw three sloths, three different kinds of frogs, lizards, birds, and fruit bats. The grounds themselves were gorgeous and full of flowers. I loved the sugar cane juice pressing at the end, and everyone in our group had the opportunity to press it, with a fresh cup right after. The tortilla making was really fun too! We got to press all of our own tortillas, and they cooked them on the stove in front of us. We then got to snack on our tortillas with a spiced rice mixture, fresh cheese, and a little dessert. 10/10 would do again!

Sergio was an amazing guide! He took time to answer our questions and was incredibly knowledgeable! Having been on many tours/excursions over the years, Sergio was one of the best we’ve had. We saw 8 sloths and even a baby! We also saw a toucan and a few frogs. Ending the tour with sugar came juice and homemade tortillas was perfect. I highly recommend this tour!

Our family of four (2 teens) really enjoyed this morning sloth tour in a wildlife corridor seeing not only sloths but other creatures such as a Green Basilisk lizard, an agouti, bats and a sleepy porcupine. Sergio, our guide was very knowledgeable and patient. The sugar cane squeezing and tortilla making was fun and the ‘snack’ of 2 tortillas with cheese and another topping and a small cake abc fresh pineapple juice was delicious and a perfect for a mini-lunch! Highly recommended.

We had a great time. David was our guide. We saw 5 different sloths on our walk. David was very knowledgeable and we learned so much. We also spotted several other different animals and David shared his knowledge on numerous plant and animal species during our walk. The tortilla cooking class was a fun bonus. It was a great experience and would definitely recommend!

This was a fantastic experience. David was our guide, and he was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. We saw many sloths, birds, lizards, frogs, and other animals. He told us a lot about all of the animals we saw and answered our questions. The tortilla making and sugar cane pressing was a nice bonus. The food was excellent.

What an experience to see quite a few sloths so clearly and MOVING! We learnt how to spot them and so much about their habits. Mar was so lovely as our guide too and she had her telescope so we could look at them closely and take photos. We made sugarcane juice and then the tortillas, which was a nice touch to the end of the tour.

10 stars if I could! Our tour guide was David. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He was very personable and had a great sense of humor. We saw 7.5 slots (.5 being a baby). One sloth in particular was very active and came really close to us. Along the way we saw different species of frogs, lizards, flowers and even a Agouti. Afterwards we learned how to pull sugar cane and make tortillas! The snacks especially the cheese was absolutely incredible. I highly recommend this tour. You will not be disappointed. 🥰

This is an amazing tour. Our tour guide Jaime was amazing and knew everything about the animals! She spotted so many animals and gave us so many facts for my family. She is also excellent at getting photos via her scope, so even if you have little kids that can’t really use a scope well, she will make it so they still see the animals. That’s being said, not every animal even needs a scope to be able to see. The tortilla making and sugar cane juice making at the end was amazing as well. Super authentic and delicious.
Cassidy_M, Apr 2025
David did a wonderful job with this tour. We saw 5 sloths and several other animals. He was funny and informative and the tortilla making was a great ending.
Meredith_D, Mar 2025
Sergio was amazing! Such a wonderful guide who kept our entire family engaged with sloth facts and funny tidbits! Highly recommend
Dylan_F, Mar 2025
This tour was great! We saw as many animals as in Monteverde’s guided tours. Also, the animals in this place come and leave on their own free will from the preserve next to it. Highly recommended!
Karon_K, Mar 2025
Our guide was wonderful. We saw many different animals and he was very knowledgeable. Wonderful with the kids and kept them engaged.
SusanL_S, Jan 2025
Although we visited the sloth experience on a day when it was pouring rain, Sergio gave us an excellent overview about the lives of these animals and their environments. He was knowledgeable and informative. He spoke excellent English. Sergio and his assistant were able to spot several sloths, although they were curled up in balls because of the weather. Sergio was helpful by providing a scope to see the sloths up close and by taking photos of them with our cameras.
We also learned about sugar cane production, and we crushed the canes and tasted the syrup. We ended the tour making tortillas, which were tasty and gave our group a chance to get to know each other. This tour was a good value for the money and provided several different activities for us to experience. Something for everyone

We had a wonderful experience taking our daughter on this tour. The property was beautiful. Sergio was an excellent guide and even made our shy pre-teen feel confident enough to ask and answer questions. We saw toucans, 5 sloths, and an agouti. The tortilla making and sugarcane juicing was fun and delicious. I'd definitely recommend this tour for families, couples, or solo travelers.
Valerie_K, Dec 2024
This was a very fun and informative tour! Well worth the time and money. Our guide David knew *everything* about sloths and made sure we all had plenty of chances to look through the scope to see them. There’s a lot to learn about the local flora as well. A great way to kick off a Costa Rican vacation!
Jacqueline_S, Nov 2024
Tour was amazing! David was really nice and knowledgeable; his passion for sanctuary showed on the best way :). We got to see five sloths, two of which were active. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for the sugar cane & tortilla, but it smelled really good. Place was amazing!
Joyce_B, Aug 2024
Our tour guide was excellent. We saw many sloths, iguanas, frogs, birds and plants. We went in the morning so it wasn’t too hot.
