This was truly our favorite experience while visiting CR over New Years! Our entire family enjoyed the experience so much and felt so welcomed. I can't say enough nice things about this sweet family! And the food and mojitos were excellent! Seeing the sloth, toads, frogs and sleeping birds was the icing on the cake! Thank you greatly!

So authentic. You are truly immersed in the preparation of a delicious meal. The garden area cannot be put into words. Go and check it out. Plus you will get an up close view of a sloth (she was literally hanging 15 feet from our heads) and red eye frogs. My son said it was a top CR experience. Lovely family. Absolutely book!

This was so much fun! My friend recommended it and I was not going to do it because I’m not that into cooking, but this experience was so much more than that! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Lilliana and Aaron and they were so hospitable and welcoming. We started with a tour around the property with Aaron telling us all about the plants and animals (sloth, toucans) and we picked a few things for dinner. Then the cooking - mostly chopping and learning how to make the dishes…everything was SO tasty and fresh and wonderful. We loved talking to them and then after dinner, we got a nighttime tour and saw the red eyed tree frogs, bullfrogs, cricket frogs, iguanas, toads…so cool! Highly recommend this experience!!

The family is so welcoming! They were social and we felt very welcome in their home and garden. They spoke excellent English and were happy to communicate what and why we were using certain ingredients. The organic garden is a beautiful walk and we enjoyed the fun frog discovery tour in the dark.
The only thing that would make it better would be to receive a link to the recipes we made! We are ready to try these at home. Loved it and for sure recommend to couples, families… anyone who wants to experience a little local flavor with a wonderful family working together to create a great experience for all.

The host family was welcoming, warm and friendly. The site has a lovely organic garden. The actual cooking portion was disappointing. In terms of preparing the meal, my only hands-on was chopping ingredients, not the cooking experience I had hoped for.

The dinner was delicious and it was such fun to learn and to join in the cooking experience. The tour of the garden to gather salad ingredients was fun and informative. We spotted Toucans and the sloth that hangs out in the trees on the property. After dinner the family went out of their way and took us out to search for amphibians! Such a great evening and one we’ll always remember as a highlight of our trip!

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, made us feel right at home. We got to cook our entire dinner and leaned a lot about produce un Costa Rica. We walked through the farm and picked ingredients for our dinner. Altogether an awesome experience.

10/10 highly recommend!! The cooking class was an amazing experience. Their organic farm was beautiful. It was really fun helping prepare the meal and the food was amazing and fresh. Also, seeing the frogs after the meal at their pond was a highlight!

An incredible family providing an extremely authentic experience! The tour of their property was beautiful and the scenery was exquisite. We saw sloths, frogs, kittens, and much more. The family was so hospitable and welcoming and the mother and eldest son spoke excellent English. The food we made was some of the best food we had our entire trip and we had a great time making it. If you are headed to Costa Rica I highly recommend stopping here for good food and a genuine Costa Rican experience.
