Victor is funny and very knowledgeable guide. He knows lot about volcano and la fortuna. He didn’t make us rush went with slow pace. I went alone but in our group we had 2 elderly people and he made sure they are comfortable all the time. If someone is looking for passionate, knowledgeable and slow pace hike to volcano then victor is the person.

The attention the driver and the guide give you is amazing. They are very friendly and have no problem to stop to explain anything you ask them.

The hike was fun and view was amazing. Our guide Harven was super friendly and helpful and he was able to recommendations for local activities and restaurants. Keep in mind that depending on the weather you might not get to see the volcano. Even if don’t get to see the volcano the tour is worth it as you learn about the history of the Volcano and surrounding area.

Too heavy of rain to see anything. Tour should be based on conditions allowing people to see something.
Albert_V, Jan 2025
Very nice guides but because of the rain is not worth it to visit. With dry weather it can be nice i think.

Pouring rain with a soft spoken guide. The weather couldn't be helped but smaller groups would be helpful to at least hear what the guide is saying.

This was a wonderful experience, the volcano was shrouded in clouds but the hike well worth it. Spotted a mamma sloth with baby and a toucan,

We had a great time on our hike. Our guide, Daniella, was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history of the volcano and the eruption. Take the precautions about heart conditions seriously, one of our group members had trouble due to the steep stair climb. If you're of moderate physical fitness, you'll be fine.

We had a sunny day. The group was 6 people plus the guide. The guide was very knowledgeable about the geology, the geography, the birds and the flowers. Highly recommend.

We had an excellent tour guide, fluent in English and Spanish. He was very knowledgeable about the animals we saw (parrots, eyelash viper and turkeys) as well as the volcanic formations and the history of the Arenal volcano. Water was offered and fresh pineapple was served at the end. Would highly recommend!

It was hard for me to climb due to knee pain but the tour guide(Elena) helped me all the way up and down. The fog didn't let us see the volcano.
