We had an absolutely wonderful family photo session in Kyoto with Satoshi and couldn’t recommend him more highly. From the very beginning, his communication was excellent—he reached out in advance, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure he understood what we were hoping for before the day of the shoot.
During the session itself, Satoshi was fantastic with our kids (ages 10, 8, and 6). He was warm, patient, and personable, which immediately put everyone at ease and made the experience genuinely fun rather than stressful. He chose beautiful locations and showed real expertise by pivoting seamlessly when certain spots were too crowded, always finding quieter, equally stunning alternatives.
What really stood out was how well he listened. He took our feedback seriously, incorporated our specific requests, and balanced them perfectly with his own creative judgment. The result was a relaxed, enjoyable experience and photos that truly reflect our family and our time in Kyoto.
All around, this was a great experience from start to finish, and Satoshi was a huge part of what made it so special.

We had a wonderful experience with Satoshi! He made the experience enjoyable and comfortable, even for our two small children. Not only did he take beautiful photos, he explained the history and culture of the area. I would absolutely recommend him!

Our photographer was prompt and knowledgeable and made taking photos easy. We got many photos in historical locations around Kyoto. Rent some kimonos and go get photos taken! It’s a great souvenir to commemorate your trip!

Highly recommend Satoshi!
What a charming and personable guy. Really delighted to spend a few hours with him learning a bit about Japan. His photography skills are excellent - really happy with the photos. Satoshi is amazing, we could not be happier with our photographs. He was excellent at making us feel at ease and giving direction to make our photos look best. He gave us great insight into the culture along the way and shared information about the sights we saw along the way. Satoshi even helpfully gave us some suggestions for restaurants and cafes in the area. I would highly recommend him for any special occasion.

Satoshi did a great job. Our original date of booking was rained out and Satoshi communicated well and was very flexible. Allowed us to move to a different date and recommend a great spot for Kimono rentals and pictures. Got them back a day later and they were amazing. Would highly recommend this if your family wants some memorable photos.

Satoshi was the perfect photographer for me and my boyfriend. We aren't the best when it comes to posing in front of other people so we were very nervous that the photos would capture our awkwardness. However, Satoshi was so friendly and professional that the pictures came out natural and the whole experience was very fun and memorable. As we walked taking pictures in different spots, Satoshi kindly explained the place so it felt like we kind of a had a private tour guide. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone that wants to keep a nice memento of their trip!

We had a great time with Satoshi! He was punctual and prepared to walk us through all the stops. He assured me we would find a good spot for sakura photos, and we did. They were so beautiful. Satoshi was friendly, shared lots of good insight and tips about our surroundings, and gave us good direction for posing. Everything felt comfortable and he showed us the shots in his camera after he took them, so I knew they were going to turn out great, and they did! He delivered the pictures the next day and we are very thankful to have such amazing memories of a beautiful stay in Japan.

I cannot recommend Satoshi enough. I hired him to capture my proposal to my girlfriend (now fiance). Not only were the photos magical, but he helped make the whole experience unforgettable.
First of all, my girlfriend was extremely nervous about the photo shoot (as was I). However, Satoshi quickly out us both at ease with his gentle kindness, friendly, approachable and relaxed nature. He was great at directing us throughout the photoshoot, which helped us get magical photos.
Furthermore, his local knowledge is invaluable - he was able to take us to quiet and private areas off the beaten path which allowed us to enjoy the moment more and meant that we didn't have other people in the background of our photos.
He was also great at subtlety signalling when we had arrived at the proposal location (when my girlfriend wasn't looking, he gave me a little tap on the back and winked at me when we arrived at the spot).
Another thing that pleasantly surprised us was how quickly we received the photos - that evening, he had already edited and sent the photos from the shoot (so many incredible photos).
Thank you Satoshi! Both my fiance and I are forever grateful for the quality of the photos and how special you helped make the experience.
