My Wife and I had a very enjoyable experience with Nariko! She was an excellent instructor and is also very personable, we enjoyed not only the cooking but learning more about Japan.
Nariko's kitchen is a genuine cooking lesson, making the broth, the gyoza dough and everything from scratch.
We have no doubt Nariko's kitchen is the BEST Home style Ramen and Homemade Gyoza cooking lesson in Kyoto.
When we next return to Kyoto we will book Nariko's sweet/desert cooking class.
Nariko, thank you for all you did with/for us.
Best Regards

Nariko's cooking class was an excellent experience all the way around. Nariko herself was warm and welcoming, personable, and provided all the info we needed to prepare and cook the food there and when we returned home. Her home was comfortable, inviting, and even relaxing. The recipes and food were the right level of challenging, and all the food was delicious. The class was structured such that we had time to sit and relax periodically so we weren't on our feet for long stretches of time. That sounds like a little thing, but it really made our entire experience extra enjoyable.

One of my favorite cooking classes! Nariko makes sure to include everyone in the small steps. Takes her time to show and explain everything.. and honestly we LOVED our meal. It was the perfect amount of food and fun wrapped all in one. Everyone should experience cooking with her.

Nariko was very friendly and her class was taught inside her house. She was good at teaching and was very friendly and patient. Our class had 7 people from all over the world. It was a fun and memorable experience and we would recommend it to anyone. She also has other classes that we will take next time we are in Kyoto.

Amazing experience and delicious recipes. Nariko was an amazing facilitator who was really friendly, kept us well paced and even helped us secure dinner reservations for the duration of our stay in Kyoto. We were a party of 6 adults but I could see this being a great way to spend an afternoon for travelers of any age. Definitely recommend!

Excellent step by step class. Small class size of 4 was perfect. Host was so friendly. Impeccably clean place! Best experience!!!!

Nariko is an excellent teacher of traditional Japanese foods. Specifically, we made delicious soup broth using vegetables
and meats, we made authentic gyoza - fried, not boiled, and much better! - and learned the proper ways to cut/slice vegetables. The meal was fantastic and plenty. (Nariko did add prepared items to the soup broth to make a traditional soup. We would not have had time to prep those.). As my wife were the only two in the class, we got very personal attention. Definitely deserves her high rating.

She was so kind and knowledgeable. Easy to follow instructions and so delicious too! I highly recommend her classes. We'll schedule another class next time we're there.

Great experience! Fun morning in the home of Nariko making some delicious dishes.
We met at the train station where she was waiting for us to arrive. Within a few minutes walk we arrived at her beautiful home, which was well laid out for teaching and spotlessly clean.
Ingredients were ready for us to start preparing for our ramen, gyoza, and cucumber salad. She gave great instruction and demonstrated along the way with proper techniques.
There were 6 people in our class (3 of whom were us!) so it was small and intimate while enjoying getting to know others.
The meal was delicious and plentiful. Table was laid out ready to eat and she made us feel at home. Can’t wait to try these recipes when we get home to recreate this great experience.
Highly recommend!

Nariko-san is a great cooking instructor. Kind and easy going, she makes the experience fun and takes the pressure off. Her new kitchen space is lovely and she helped us make some delicious ramen, gyoza, and pickled cucumbers.

We loved this cooking class! So fun to visit a Japanese home and cook a meal from scratch with people from all over the world! The food was delicious and we learned many tips to take home! The instructor was so kind and very knowledgeable! Would definitely do this again!

When I offered my family this experience, they were a bit hesitant, but this ended up being a highlight of our trip. Everyone enjoyed the whole process, and the food was amazing. Nariko is a great teacher, and she shared the recipe. We really enjoyed it and can highly recommend.

Great activity for the family to enjoy! It was informative and great way to learn how to cook ramen and gyoza!

Great experience. It was not entirely from scratch, but that’s fine as it would take too long otherwise. We had a lot of fun and Nariko is a good teacher. Thanks!

We thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class. Nariko, our chef/instructor, was welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable. We gained a lot of insights into gyoza and ramen cooking. We have already recommended this course to friends planning to visit Japan later this year.

We enjoyed this very small class so much. We truly rolled up our sleeves and made all of the food ourselves! We learned so much. And on top of it, it was delicious!!! And all of the recipes are shared with you after.

We thoroughly enjoyed Nariko's cooking class. For all of us, it was our first time making gyozas from scratch (including the gyoza pastry) and regardless, the outcome was very tasty and surprisingly all gyozas held together well. Would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling to Kyoto.

Awesome experience. Got to cook ramen and gyoza from an old family recipe. Host was fantastic and explained everything the whole way thru. Included our 7 year old who loved it.
