Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had such a fantastic time during the 10am class.
We’re especially happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with Reiki and found her both informative and fun. We’ll also be sure to share your kind words with our chef!
It’s great to know that you enjoyed making the ramen noodles, fried rice, and gyoza—and, of course, that everything tasted awesome! 😊
Thank you again for joining us. We hope to welcome you back again for another fun and delicious experience in the future!
This was a fantastic experience. Great fun and we were stuffed after! The chef was brilliant. The directions easy to follow. I am not a cook by any means but I will try these delicious dishes at home.
This experience was a highlight of our 12-night Celebrity cruise to Japan. Our group looks for ways to learn about the culture of the places we visit while also learning how to make some of the food we love back home.
The English speaking tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She acted as the interpreter for the chef we worked with, which I was concerned about at first, but was not an issue at all. We learned how to make ramen (we each had a chance to choose our own broth), gyoza and fried rice, then enjoy our creations as a hearty lunch. The restaurant/location of the experience was down an alley that we would not have been able to discover on our own, which made the entire excursion feel that much more exclusive. Don’t be scared of the “local feel” of the location - it’s not a professional, sterile kitchen, but one that is a local favorite of the people who know how ramen should taste!
If you are someone who likes to recreate dishes when you return home, this is a must-do for you! Ramen, gyoza and fried rice are all relatively easy to make upon your return home and using the skills learned in class can be applied in your own kitchen with little need for additional equipment (although if you want to make the ramen noodles from scratch, you might have to invest in a noodle press).
This is a 5-star experience that I would recommend to new and experienced chefs.

Thank you so much for your detailed and wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that this cooking experience was one of the highlights of your Japan cruise.
It’s fantastic to know that you enjoyed learning about Japanese culture while making ramen, gyoza, and fried rice, and that you appreciated being able to choose your own ramen broth. We’re also glad that our guide was able to make the communication with the chef smooth and enjoyable throughout the experience.
Thank you again for your five-star recommendation! We hope you’ll have plenty of opportunities to put your new ramen, gyoza, and fried rice skills to use back home!
What a fun experience! Our guide, Chie, went above and beyond in explaining the culture and history of Japan while providing us a memorial experience making (and eating) ramen, gyoza, and fried rice. I would definitely recommend this!

Such a fun time making noodles and gyoza! Yuki was a great guide and photographer, capturing all the fun moments of the class. It was nice to be able to try different broths with the ramen, as well as participate in the fried rice. Class was very easy and the food was delicious! My daughter and husband tend to not be very adventurous eaters, but they both thoroughly enjoyed the end products. Would definitely recommend this class! (And now my husband also wants one of the automated "beer pourers" that dispensed the beer at the class LOL)

This class was so much fun and we got to take the recipes home (they provided the QR code to get the file so we didn't have to keep track of any physical papers). The staff were SO FRIENDLY and helpful and fun, the location was super cute, down this walking path you'd never have noticed right near the hustle and bustle of the shopping area in Kyoto, and the food was TASTY. I'm definitely looking forward to making ramen and gyoza at home...though they'll naturally be missing something - the ambiance that was our Kyoto experience.
Such a fantastic experience making ramen, gyoza and fried rice. We enjoyed every minute, and Yuki made us all feel comfortable. Lots of laughs, smiles and of course great food!
Nice instructions and cooking class goes by quickly. A good experience from kids to adults to learn some Japanese cooking.

A must do! Everyone in the family loved it and enjoyed being hands on. We can be picky eaters and everyone really liked the food. The tour guide and chef were very kind and informative. Far exceeded my expectations.
We booked this not knowing what to expect. Yoki and the master chef were so amazing. They explained everything and it was a very lighthearted fun thing to do. And it was delish!!

Fun experience with a group, didn’t discuss culture at all or talk to the chef but the cooking itself was fun
Very good experience overall! All the food was very tasty. The experience was well structured and everything was clean and efficient. The cook and assistant were very accommodating. Would definitely recommend this experience!

Amazing gyoza cooking class in Kyoto...one of our favorite tours on our trip!
We learned how to make gyoza completely from scratch, from preparing the filling to folding them perfectly (which is harder than it looks, but so satisfying once you get the hang of it!). The attention to detail and the cultural insights shared throughout the class made it so much more than just cooking—it felt like a true immersion into Japanese cuisine.
Also, the chef and instructor were animated and very friendly. If you're visiting Kyoto and looking for a unique, hands-on experience, I can’t recommend this class enough. It’s a must-do for food lovers!
