great show! Great to see, especially if it is your first time in Istanbul! I loved it and went by myself and still had a great time!
Sumeet_K, Feb 2026

On a whim, I decided to look for an evening activity, and I’m genuinely glad I found Istanbul Hodjapasha Rhythm of The Dance Show. It ended up being one of those travel surprises that stays with you long after it’s over.

The show is top notch and beautifully paced. It moves through folkloric dances from Anatolia, the Balkans, and the Caucasus, blended with oriental dance and modern choreography, and it never once drags. The structure keeps you engaged the entire time, and the costumes are incredible. The 360-degree projection effects add to the atmosphere without distracting from the performers.

Every dancer is impressive, but what really stands out is the passion behind it. You can feel that this isn’t just choreography they’re executing. It means something to them. Quite honestly, for the caliber of performance, I think they are undercharging.
⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻
⸻
Before the show, there’s also a small dance culture exhibition in the foyer, which is a nice touch and gives helpful context about what you’re about to see.

My only piece of advice is to make the booking process clearer: if you buy tickets online, you still need to pick up a physical ticket at the venue, and that’s when you’re assigned a seat.

One performer I have to call out specifically is the man who had a few solo performances, including one where he spun for nearly five minutes while using his clothing as a reflective prop. The way he married the music with his movements was beyond impressive, and I genuinely left that moment nearly speechless.

I highly recommend this show. It’s moving, energetic, and memorable in the best way.

Although some of dance number is too long to maintain excitement of viewer, show program was well organized with variety of different dance style. Best part of the program was live solo performance of percussion and combination of belly dance and percussion.
The level of belly dancer was totally different from other tourist dance spot such as dinner cruise. I will visit agin just to see this part of the show.

Great venue, colorful costumes and great variety of talented performers. My sis snd I were amazed how enjoyable the show was even after 11 hours of flying and being up for 24 hrs.

Hodjapasha Show – A Must-See Cultural Experience
The Hodjapasha Show is truly one of the best performances we’ve experienced in Istanbul. It’s a perfect blend of professionalism, tradition, and artistic expression. From the moment the show begins, you’re drawn into a captivating journey through Turkish culture, history, and music.
The dancers are exceptionally talented, and every movement feels meaningful and precise. The use of lighting and sound enhances the emotional atmosphere, making the performance even more powerful. Whether it’s the whirling dervishes or the dynamic folkloric dances, each scene is delivered with passion and authenticity.
The venue itself, a beautifully restored 15th-century hamam, adds to the ambiance and gives the show an even deeper cultural connection. The seating is comfortable, and the environment is intimate, allowing you to feel close to the performance without being overwhelmed.
Everything is well-organized, from ticketing to the timing of the show. The entire experience is smooth and enjoyable.
We strongly recommend attending the Hodjapasha Show if you’re in Istanbul. It’s more than just entertainment—it’s a cultural experience that stays with you.

Multi talent and muticultural adventure, in which music, choreography and architecture become an integrated scene of art

A must see experience when in Istanbul. The performances were all well done and everyone was super sweet.
Sam_S, Apr 2025
Pretty modern dancing, not what I expected of turkish dervish flying carpet. The performance is average, not very special. Not great, not bad. Very cheap ticket price.
Alison_W, Apr 2025
High quality dancers with beautiful costumes in a very small theatre which meant every seat was a good seat. A good range of different dances with a small information card explaining each.
Luis_A, Apr 2025
The show was ok. Nothing spectacular. If you have nothing else to do, then go and watch. But not a must see.
Yuliia_G, Apr 2025
The dancers showcased not only incredible technical skill but also an emotional depth that brought every movement to life. Perfect duration!
Tiencia_J, Mar 2025
I loved all the dancers but my favorite was the male solo belly dancer and the drummer! Excellent show and would definitely recommend.
Kasey_W, Feb 2025

Krish_K, Jan 2025
Amazing performance and the energy and enthusiasm presented by the dancers is incredible.
It’s a worth a watch.
Yuanwei_J, Jan 2025
easy smooth process to redeem ticket. The performance were excellent ! The male belly dance were such a genius and whirling dancer was exceptional. The light and music on the stage were very Turkish traditional and made you feel like travel back to the time.
anandaraju_s, Jan 2025
Show was excellent, dances were lively, dancers were very energetic, music was superb. Had a great exposure to Turkish dance. Non stop entertainment for full hour. A must see show.

I just flew in from London, where I saw a couple of West End shows earlier in the week, and yes, it's not quite up to that level in terms of pretty basic staging, the dancers were top flight performers. The show's storyline took a while to warm up the audience, but once it got going it was pretty magnificent. There's some really cool modern dervish numbers which really was mesmerizing. The dancers are very talented. It's really great to see a series of different cultural dances from (I assume) different parts of Turkey all assembled and revived by this talented set of young dance professionals. The night I went had a lousy audience though, and I wondered if it was because I was seeing this in the middle of December off-tourist season, and I really felt that the dancers did a phenom job of keeping up a great energy and enthusiasm despite what was a lousy crowd.
Celeste_C, Dec 2024
Fun night watching the music, lights, costumes and dancing. The circular stage means that no matter where you are seated you get a good view.
Setsuko_F, Nov 2024
More than expected. Variety of dances from the region, to appeal to both sexes. Definitely worth the value.
Rebecca_L, Oct 2024
It was a great performance! We really enjoyed it, in particular the twirl dance. Should not miss it.
Matthew_B, Oct 2024
Sensational hour of music and dance. The highlight for me was an incredible trippy, trancey solo performance by a male dancer with what initially appears to be a skirt.
Essential if you are lucky to find yourself in Istanbul on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday evening.
