This is an amazing tour. The waterfall is well worth the trip. It takes roughly an hour by bus to get to the waterfall. Once at the parking lot it’s about a 20 minute walk to the top platform. If you can manage the uneven ground it is well worth the short hike. We had about 80 minutes to check things out. Before doing the hike I would suggest using the bathroom, because the lineup can get very long. I would strongly recommend this tour.

Beautiful. Had a wonderful time. The path going to the falls is a little unsafe. Tour guide was very informative. Bus was clean and getting there was a beautiful drive. On the drive we saw seals , sheep , horses and foxes .

Sally was amazing!!! So many incredible facts about Iceland on our drive to and from Dynjandi! Plenty of time to hike Dynjandi too

We had a wonderful trip to Dynjandi Waterfall! It’s an absolute must-see when visiting this part of Iceland. The waterfall is breathtaking, and the walk up offers stunning views along the way.
A big thank you to our guide, Camilla, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly throughout the tour. Our driver, Gizzly, was excellent and made the journey smooth and comfortable. The entire trip was well organized, enjoyable, and informative. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Westfjords!

It rained the above rocks were very slippery. Bathroom’s were a long line outside wind and rain not good. However falls were beautiful.

Beautiful waterfall. Long drive to get there but very pretty. The path is only partly modernized so be ready with some shoes with good tread.

Great tour with great explanation of the culture and the area. The price is good. We were on the Viking ship and this was half the price.

Quick excursion to the must see Dynjandi waterfall. Incredible scenery en route with interesting commentary provided. 90 mins allowed at the waterfall was sufficient.

Great Guide. Excellent allocation of the 3.5 hours, with 90 glorious minutes exploring the waterfalls.

Great scenic coach journey taking in the various fjords and mountains and of course the magnificent waterfall. Maggie the tour guide was excellent
Daniel_B, Jul 2026
The scenic trip to the waterfall was 65 minutes each way. Then we had 90 minutes to hike up the waterfall.
The bugs were a little annoying except at the top.

This tour was handled by West tours. Our guide was funny and interesting. His name was Brandon. He told us a lot of interesting details about life in Iceland. It took one hour to get to the waterfall. We had 90 minutes there, which was plenty of time to climb to the top and get back. Enjoyable if you like waterfalls or nature.

Convenient pickup. A lovely informative guide and an amazing waterfall that you get right up close to (and get wet!)

Because we were on a smaller cruise ship and the only ship in port, there were only about 15 of us on the trip. They put us on a small bus and it was great. Great guide.

Our guide was very knowledgeable. He was prompt and very friendly. Waterfall was amazing! Our weather was wet and windy. Come prepared.

The tour was to see the Dynjandi waterfalls. It’s a one hour drive from the cruise port. We had 90 minutes to hike to the waterfalls, taking pictures, and explore the surrounding areas. It’s a good tour for one of the most famous places to see in the west fjords region, and the price was also quite reasonable for a half day tour. We spent the other half day walking around town. Overall, it was a very good choice. Would definitely recommend it.

Excellent trip, unhurried, knowledgeable guide. Definitely went the extra mile. Easy booking, great price.

Beautiful waterfall. Well worth it. It’s a short ride through beautiful scenery. Our guide was a wealth of local knowledge!

We knew the bus ride out to the falls and back would be lengthy, and we were perfectly fine with it. Our bus was full, so that tells you how many people were interested in seeing these falls. We drove through two lengthy tunnels (7.8 km and 5.6 km respectively) - they were pretty impressive. Dynjandi is located in remote northwestern Iceland. Its height was approximately 100 meters making it the largest falls in Westfjords. There are a series of smaller waterfalls below Dynjandi making for some great photographs! All of the falls were very impressive. We were very happy with this tour and recommend it to everyone wishing to see one of Iceland's best waterfalls.

This was a shore excursion. We left late, arrived late, had reduced stay to keep on schedule. There were 12-15 buses there. The restroom facilities are woefully inadequate for tourist season. We waited 25 minutes in line (and there were several lines) reducing our time to about an hour. The "trail" to the falls is very rocky and uneven. It is also very narrow making it difficult for people to pass going in opposite directions. The rough terrain and reduced amount of time prevented us from climbing as far as we wanted. The falls are beautiful and worth the trip, but it can be a difficult journey.

Great trip , we followed the path up to the upper viewing point , free toilets available near the car park. Itinerary as described and timings , saw lots of scenery on the bus trip and guide very informative , would recommend

The bent over backwards to accommodate us guide was very friendly and knowledgeable waterfall was amazing
JULIE_G, Jul 2026
Fanastic views, the drive there and back was stunning. Please make sure you wear sensible footwear, climb up falls is rocky in places, and slippy.
Elaine_H, Jul 2026
Really great trip . Made perfect by the lovely lady who explained everything so well . So informative and knowledgable . It was a delight to listen to her . Had the best time climbing up to the waterfall . Would throughly recommend .

Very efficient. Booked from Uk in advance. Constantly kept updated in the app and by email. Very good guide and waterfall was lovely.
Nice touch getting a bottle of water when we returned to the bus.

Great experience 👍🏽. Long drive from Cruise port with excellent views, drove through 4 mile tunnel. Informative Guide with helpful information. Falls spectacular, long trails to top with a lot of photo moments. Be aware of climb, rocky parts, slippery stones, a little steep use caution. At 74, I carefully made a successful trip partially to top & back. No place selling food, pack a snack, plenty of restrooms. 👏👏

This was a short trip from a cruise ship. I would highly recommend it. The scenery on the way there is beautiful and the waterfalls are spectacular. The guide was brilliant too. You have just over an hour to explore when you get there. We visited Isafjordur previously and it is a beautiful but tiny town so the trip made better use of our time there.
