Overview

What To Expect

Meet your guide at Tung Chung MTR station at 4am and travel to the base of Lantau Peak’s north ridge to begin your ascent.

Feel your blood pumping as you proceed upwards on this strenuous climb, enjoy the incredible views as the first rays of the new day begin to break over the horizon. With any luck you reach the peak just in time for the sunrise, offering an unforgettable view. Once you’ve earned your peak, decide whether to return down the way you came, or to proceed to the mountain’s south face, offering access to the famous Tian Tan Buddha before the tour groups can arrive. You’ll return back to your original starting point at the end of the trip.

Please note: This trip is weather-dependent. The operator will be in touch after booking to confirm conditions and start time. Although the hike is possible all year round, summer and autumn are the optimal times for clear skies. Participants should also be in good physical condition.
