What a great way to see a little...

What a great way to see a little more of Vietnam if you only have one free day in Hanoi! My tour guide, Star spoke excellent English and I enjoyed our conversations during the car ride as much as the tour in Ninh Binh itself. His English was so good that we were able to have intellectual conversations about the history and government of Vietnam. The scenery on the river in Tam Coc was breathtaking, even in the overcast rainy season. It was a fantastic way to experience the Vietnam landscape and countryside. Lunch in a small local restaurant was very good and the tour of the sanctuaries at the site of the ancient capital in Hoa Lu was very interesting. No complaints, great experience.
