With our amazing guide Evie, we had a tasting of local dishes in some really nice street food restaurants. Bun Cha and Egg Coffee were 10/10 🥰🙏🏼 The guide was super friendly and we really enjoyed it - highly recommended!

Overall pretty good. The addition of train street made for a better experience albeit just the engine passing. Had Bun cha. Pho. Bahn mi. Coffee, sticky rice ice cream. Guide was Mac who was terrific.

We really enjoyed this tour with our guide, Stella. Vietnamese cuisine is already excellent as we all know, but Stella was able to give us an off the beaten path tour of some of the best Vietnamese food we have ever had. She was also a great person to spend the day with and was very candid in answering all of our questions. This tour is highly recommended.

An interesting and enjoyable tour at small local restaurants. The food was enjoyable and provided a good selection of typical Vietnamese cuisine. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. An excellent way to try different local dishes and discover small family run restaurants. I knocked one star off as the tour was a little rushed at 2.5 hours instead of the three hours advertised.

Ashley (tour guide) was exceptional! She was knowledgeable, kind, funny and really lovely. She went over and above when she introduced us to fried Jack fruit and bananas made by local ladies in the old quarter. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, the food, the company. Highly recommend this experience!

We booked the Hanoi walking food tour with Train Street experience. Zoey was our guide. She knew many interesting facts about Hanoi, other parts of Vietnam and the foods we had. All of the food vendors were friendly and provided high quality products. It was a good introduction to Hanoi’s old town food scene. Zoey knew when and where to take us on Train Street so that we had good seats and had a front row for the train blasting by. That was quite exhilarating and well worth the extra effort to get there. We definitely recommend this tour operator and Zoey.

Our tour guide Paul had excellent knowledge of Hanoi and took us to eat at places we would never have found on our own or been game enough to try. The food was delicious and things we had not tried before. It’s a great tour do do on an evening as the Hanoi at night is so different and lively. Paul took great care of us. Well worth doing this tour to get a real insight to old quarter and street food

This was the perfect approach to experiencing Hanoi’s street food in an authentic and safe (no western “travelers tummy” regrets) way. Our guide, Harry, was very attentive to the kind of things we wanted to eat and worked hard to ensure we had a great time. We visited five spots and each one was uniquely wonderful. Harry was easy to hang out with and the time with him just flew by. I would highly recommend this tour and specifically Harry as a guide.

No new insights to Vietnam

The tour company Crossing Vietnam assigned us a very young English-speaking guide who wasn’t properly trained. Despite informing them that this wasn’t our 1st visit to Hanoi, there was nothing tailored to an Asian couple like us for this private tour. Very disappointed that the tour only had very basic elements of Vietnamese street food, 4 of 5 which we were already familiar with. So sadly, there were no new or interesting insights from the tour. On the positive side, the guide arrived early, was sweet, friendly & enthusiastic and knew her way around the meandering Old Town streets but Crossing Vietnam needs to give keen guides like her more techniques and professional training to succeed.

Great afternoon with Alex in Hanoi

Alex took us through the old quarter to a number of different family and eateries. Each one was so fresh and unique. He told us the history behind several of the foods and stories of the family businesses which really added to our enjoyment. We finished up at a hidden upstairs cafe that was packed with locals to experience egg coffee complete with artwork done out of coffee to garnish. Alex gave us several tips which have already enhanced star visit while in Hanoi.

Highly recommend. My tour guide,Tracey, spoke perfect English. Was able to try a variety of dishes including a desert and egg coffee! Would advise to eat lightly before the tour- couldn't finish everything as there was so much to try.
