A lovely part of the world. You can’t avoid the crowds so accept that every location will be busy.
Food on the boat was lovely. Our tour guide (Minh) kept us updated along the way.
I would recommend this tour to others.

Halong Bay is a a beautiful place, but it is overcrowded, the water is very dirty, and it is a terrible tourist trap where every operator is trying to sell you stuff you do not want or need.
Guide was loud, obnoxious and his only interest was to sell us extra services. He started walking toward the boat about 25% of the tour still on the bus. Terrible experience
Only bright thing was the wait staff on the boat who was very attentive and easy to work with

Absolutely a “must”. Well organised tour, I was picked up in the morning from the hotel. We started with the pearl factory, went fast and it was pretty informative. Then we moved to the boat and spend the whole day cruising the Ha Long Bay. I also paid $10 for the speed boat activity and highly recommend it. Good was great, view were unforgettable and overall impression is five stars plus 👍.

It was good experience with my tour guide Alex. He’s knowledgeable guy and explains everything about culture and the Halong bay.
We started our journey from Hanoi. And traveled to Halong bay in the bus and after that change to ferry, and saw more than 100 or 1000 islands. I did kayaking, it was fun in the water.

If you get a chance to have Austin/Diep as your tour guide, then you're going to have a fun time. He's such a fun, funny, and energetic fellow. I also admired that he was very organized and made sure every tourist in his group was safely in the right place. If you ever ask about how he got his Vietnamese name, he'll tell you a funny and cute story. He's also very knowledgeable about history. Such a well-rounded gentleman. Highly recommend him as your tour guide.

Great day trip from Hanoi to Halong Bay. All the 3 experiences of boat, caves and walk on the beach are fantastic. The food and service on the boat and the guide are excellent!

We had a great time with Tinh. Pickup was seamless and we got a schedule of what was expected so we could plan and pick our activities before we got there. The boat was nice and spacious. The lunch included was delicious. Although in general the area is very congested with tourist—we still enjoyed our time there. We felt we got to see and experience the area. Driver was great as well!!!!

A great day out. Our guide, Tinh, was excellent and took us around the sights calmly. Halong Bay is very touristy which is to be expected so be prepared for crowds. I’m glad we chose the day trip as I feel we saw so much. The boat we went on was lovely - beautiful relaxing top deck, small plunge pool, bar etc. The lunch absolutely delicious (we chose the lunch upgrade). We paid extra for a speedboat trip rather than opt for kayaking (approx £7 pp for 25 mins) and it was wonderful. Got to go a lot further out away from the crowds. What an amazing place. Highly recommend

My friends and I had a great time on the Hercules Cruise to Ha Long Bay. Henry our tour guide was the best - he’s organized, thoughtful, on time and very friendly. We appreciated the care he put into making sure we arrive earlier to beat the crowds. His attention to the details and time does not go unnoticed not to mention all the knowledge he shared on the history, tradition and pride in Vietnam.

Had a wonderful day led by our guide, Sam. He shared a lot of great information throughout the day and managed to keep tabs of everyone through each stop.
The bus was very comfortable, the boat was nicer than expected, and the buffet had plenty of veggie options. There is a reasonable fee for drinks other than the tea and juice that is provided.
Halong Bay was beautiful and climbing Ti Top, the cave, and bamboo boat tour were all fantastic experiences. Just be aware that there is a bit or “organized chaos” from all of the boats at these locations.

What an amazing and informative experience! Alex was a wonderful tour guide. There are a lot of steps for the caves is the only warning I wish we had received. Besides that, it was an absolutely fun time and would definitely recommend!

A full day of activities, started at 8:30am and ended around 8:30pm. The bus was comfortable and the tour guide Henry did an excellent job in sharing information and managing the tour.

In terms of the nature you see, this tour is amazing.
Our guide Sam was lovely, organized, and was able to keep track of a big group.
The boat was definitely nicer than many we saw on the water and the crew on board was very accommodating and proactive.
Locations that they chose were good and accurately described!
Bus was perfectly adequate/comfortable and driver was safe and good in the traffic.
For us, we learned that groups of this size are not for us. I don’t find it intimate and it doesn’t offer the chance to have a strong connection with the guides. However, I think the price is fair for what you get. I would have spent more next time to have a smaller group but do the same experiences.
Keep in mind, these areas are rife with tourists so prepare yourself that this will be part of the experience.
Finally, I feel like there was a lot that was pushed and not included and that the tour company could do a better job with a “packing list.” Ie. Bring sneakers to climb lots of stairs.
For example, we stopped at a pearl harvesting farm for a bathroom and there was a ~5 minute presentation and then you have to walk throughout the entire showroom just to get to the bathroom and snacks. Just felt like we were being pitched a timeshare in Florida. Also think we were asked to tip a lot; boat staff, guide and driver. Also keep in mind that there are no plastic water bottles allowed on board. I completely understand other drinks not being included but think water needs to be included onboard the boat. It was honestly more of a liability not to provide with as hot as it gets.

It was a full packed day. Bus ride was comfortable and boat was nice. Lots of hiking into the beautiful cave. Cave was a little warm. Ha Long Bay is breathtaking! Alex was a great tour guide!
