Extremely well organized trip! Very delicious lunch on boat cruise with authentic food (vegan, vegetarian friendly). Had the option of hiking or swimming as well as kayaking or a boat ride. The view from the hike was beautiful and unreal. The boat ride was very peaceful. We also got to hike through some caves. We ended the day with some light snacks, drinks and a sunset boat ride which was very serene. For a 12 hour day with 6 hours of travel, this trip was very packed, efficient, fun, and worth your money.

Well organised tour in Ha long bay with a few activities. Communication with staff before and during trip was great, all were really helpful. Transport was clean and on time, I’m tall and was relatively comfortable on the bus. My guide Luka was great. You get a good lunch on the boat, a small hike or swim, some time on a kayak or sampler boat and then visit a cave before having some fruit to watch the sunset. All were enjoyable and well paced. Overall well priced and a good day out. I’d recommend to anyone who just fancies a day trip to Ha long bay, which if you’re short on time I’d say is all you need.

Pretty good! I wasn't that excited to go to Halong as it's a cool place, but most trips take 2 days minimum, and I didn't want to do it for that long. Personally I think that - as long as you're ok with the long travel time to and from - that one day is perfectly sufficient.
Our guide was hilarious, and really great. Loved his attitude and information.
I really enjoyed this trip!

The travel to Halong Bay from Hanoi was very long and the vehicle was a little cramped for such a long trip not much leg room, however the view of the countryside was worth seeing and you can have a snooze on the way back. Your lunch is ready for you when you board your cruise boat and the food was pleasant. After cruising around beautiful Halong Bay you can choose between the wooden boat or kayak and get in closer to the inlets and rock formations, this was really lovely.
Next we visited Dong Thien Cung or Paradise Cave a very pretty cave and the views from the top provide for some nice photo shots.
Our guide was English speaking, but I found as with most of our guides the strong Vietnamese accent a little hard to understand and listen to.

There were about 25 people in our tour. They did a quick job of picking everyone up but with so many pick ups it took quite a while to get going. Our tour guide was really great and funny. The bus was a little cramped and there was no wifi even though it said there was on the bus itself. It was okay for me but maybe not for others. The ride was really fascinating to see the northern coastal countryside. I wish we could have stopped at a local coffeee shop or lunch spot instead of a strange factory place they brought us to. The prices here were incredibly high and the exchange rate was criminal. Bring your own food and drink and you'll be fine. Bathrooms here are very clean and there is tp. The lunch on the boat was fine but not outstanding. The views of the bay were really beautiful though. We chose to kayak as our activity and that was the highlight of this tour. We also saw a cave but that activity was very rushed. It was a busy tour but if you only have one day, it's a good option. If you can afford a more expensive tour, I would recommend doing something as a smaller tour group. This tour was a good value for the price though.

Tour was really good, they picked up us in our hotel on time, the explanation about thing to do was very good. Halong Bay is a beautiful place, my recomendation to viator is to put WIFI in the bus, other companies already have.

An absolute high-light! Everyone says do Halong Bay in more than a day trip - and after visiting, I agree I would've loved to stay longer. However, if you're short on time, I would really really recommend this trip. This trip was good for me as a solo traveller - although the kayak options were only two-seaters not a problem to maneuver as one person in a double, but perhaps i looked a bit silly!. It was an amazing experience. Our tour guide Chris went above and beyond, and was extremely fun and personable. Really well organized and well worth the 8 hours on the bus.

This tour was excellent our tour guide was good fun which made the long drive more interesting. Halong bay is truly stunning. The lunch on the boat was good quality too. I would highly recommend this tour, it was great value for money.

Great experience, in spite of a long and bumpy bus ride. Halong bay in light overcast and occational drizzle was just beautiful! The interior of the boat was very nice and lunch was great.

This is a long day - 12 hours in total with 4 hour minibus journey to and from Halong Bay and a 4 hour boat trip sandwiched in the middle. That said, Tom our guide was full of information to try and keep us engaged on the business trip and there is a stop at a craft workshop both ways. The boat trip itself is split basically into 4 one hour slots, first lunch on board as the boat sets off, second kayaking into caves, third sailing round the bay to take in the views and fourth on an island walking through a huge cave. I thought it was great value and I would recommend

I found the tour to be excellent. We were well looked after and Tony the tour guide was very helpful. The only problem was the length of time it took to get from Hanoi to Halong Bay but that was out of anyone's control. What we saw and experienced though made it all worthwhile ! A very memorable day !

Eigentlich sind diese Trips inzwischen der reinste Massentourismus - was nicht jeder mag. Allerdings hat nicht jeder Interessierte ein eigenes Boot...Unsere Tour war perfekt organisiert, sehr gute Reiseleitung, die auch in der Tropfsteinhöhle sehr gute und ausführliche Infos gab. Wir haben trotz Vorheriger Bedenken diesen Trip für einen einzigen Tag von Hanoi aus gebucht. Also ohne Übernachtung auf einem Kahn. Das war eine gute Entscheidung.
