Experience was great! Went to the incence village first andnthen the hat village. Was unable to go to the lacquer village because of the holiday (Tet) but Huy made sure we were compensated. Lunch was delicious at the hat village. Ride to and from Hanoi was smooth and comfortable. 10 out of 10 recommend this tour while visiting.

It was a very beautiful and engaging experience. I loved every bit of it. From learning about incense making from scratch to learning about how the famous Vietnamese hats are made. Had a practical feel of things. Happy people. Great tour guide.

Had a great experience on the incense village tour! The pickup was right on time and everything was well organized from start to finish. Our tour guides, Huy and Henry, were excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip enjoyable with their explanations and support. The time spent at the village was perfect, not rushed at all, and we got to see the traditional process up close and take some beautiful photos. My mom and I had an amazing experience booking with this tour. Starting with a tour of the incense garden and factories and ending with hat making and painting. Our tour guide, Huy, was very lovely and very responsive to us. He spoke very good English and French, and was easy to understand/communicate. We booked a private tour with him, and it was very convenient and worth the extra money.

I booked this experience last minute and I’m really glad I did. My 10-year old daughter and I had a great time. We started with learning how to make the hats, painting them, then lunch before heading to the incense village. The tour was really well organized, our guide was kind and informative. The gentleman who took our photos at the incense village was amazing. We have so many great photos for our memories. Definitely recommend booking this tour.

The tour was nice, it was good to learn more about how they make the incense. I didn't think I would like the conical hat part, but it was actually very informative. It went on a little too long for my tastes. The tour could have been 4 or 5 hours. But the guide and the driver were both nice and easy to work with.

This was a total last minute find and I’m delighted I did. The conical hat was interesting and really enjoyable. I opted for the lunch which was delicious. Both Henry and Hut were fantastic guides who offered help with anything and even a quiz in between the villages. I love that they are locals doing it to provide for their family and community. If you’re in Hanoi, I’d highly recommend.

We booked for a 2 village tour, and it was amazing! We had a very sumptuous lunch which made us sleepy after! Our tour guide Mr Huy is so good and speaks English well. He even gave us quizzes on the way to make our trip more fun and engaging. If you happen to go to Hanoi, book this tour with Mr Huy.

Interesting tour impacted by Tet preparations

I'm going to start this with I think the preparations for Tet really made an impact on the experience of this tour. Overall the tour delivered what it promised which was visiting an area of Vietnam where incense made, having an opportunity to take pictures in a really cool photo area, seeing and learning about how conical hats are being made as well as getting to paint a premade one, and the lunch I was served was very good. Because of the Tet preparations happening all over Vietnam our ride outside of the city was extremely long. Many of the shops and warehouses that normally would be an operation where closed down as the workers have the holiday off to visit family. This is completely understandable. I think taking this tour outside of a major holiday would offer more of an insight to actual operations and getting to see in person the manufacturing of incense and conical hats Mr Huy very kindly refunded me some money as I was the only one to book the three village option.

We learned how incense is made and had time to take beautiful photos with the colorful incense backdrop. At the conical hat village, we saw the traditional process and even painted our own hat to take home. Our guide Huy was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided excellent service throughout the tour. This small group tour was a good way to experience traditional Vietnamese culture just outside Hanoi. The Incense Village was absolutely stunning and a highlight of the tour — incredibly colourful and perfect for photography. The seonc part of the tour included making a conical hat and then painting it ourselves which was fun, relaxing, and gave a real appreciation for the craftsmanship involved. The experience felt interactive without being rushed, and the small group size made it even more enjoyable. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and transportation was smooth with a convenient pick-up point. Overall, a a good short planned tour that combines culture, creativity, and great visuals. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a short, meaningful experience in Hanoi.

Our guide Huy was fantastic. He loves his village and people and is so proud to show it off. I cant imagine this tour with any one else. He showed us all the various steps in making incense sticks then took us to a field of sticks that looked like flowers. He took dozens of pictures of us with our cameras. He's a topnotch photographer. Then we wentvto the hat village and learned and participated in the tedious task of making a hat. He English is great and his personality is greater. Dont miss this tour.

Amazing and a very educational tour into the art of incense stick and conical hat making. We made our own incense sticks and pained our conical hats. Very colorful pictures taken among incense stick bundles. Very instagramable. Really amazing tour. Guides were punctual, knowledgable and interesting.
