More of an historical tour than a ghost tour but none the less very interesting. Be aware that Halifax is quite hilly, so if you struggle with walking or with breathing difficulties this may not be the tour for you.

There was nothing eerie about the ghost stories. The tour guide walked and talked, ahead of most of the group, making it impossible to hear. Her delivery of the history was too monotone and boring to illicit any chills in any of the tour group.

A ghost tour should leave you with a few chills, and a guide walking ahead while talking, leaving most of the group unable to hear, with a monotone delivery on top of that, falls well short of the experience you came for. We learned so much about downtown Halifax with lots of little facts, fun stories and detailed story lines for some famous people, places and events that were weaved in throughout the tour. Talia was an incredible story teller and had a great sense of humour but also compassion and sombreness appropriately applied to some of the more tragic stories of some groups of people and historical events that are intrinsically tied to Halifax and part of its culture still evident today. She even dressed thematically to match her wonderful personality and dramatic flare thats perfect for a Haunted Walk! We are not the most able bodied people but the pace was slow enough for us to have no trouble and Talia had so much information that we never had a dull moment. There was some walking, some standing and some sitting. It was perfect mix with very little uphill walking! Along the way we also got some amazing recommendations for food, drinks and must dos while in Halifax. Lastly, being a cool Sept evening, we ended up as the only 2 people and normally guides cancel if there aren’t a large enough group but not Talia! She said she never cancels because whether it’s 2 or 20, it’s always fun for her and she never would want to disappoint anyone and I believe that! Absolutely amazing value and highly recommend Talia!

Our guide was awesome! She was very informative & personable. It was nice, as it was only us, so it felt very VIP. The weather was perfect for our walking tour. Very interesting history of Halifax and the ghosts that haunt it.
