Stunning Sunset Tasting — Ask for Beatrice

This was one of the highlights of our trip. The property sits high on a mountainside outside Malaga with sweeping views of the Mediterranean, on a clear evening you can even make out Gibraltar and Africa in the distance. We booked the 7pm slot, which was perfect with sunset. Our host, Beatriz, was fantastic. We hit traffic coming out of Malaga and arrived about 15 minutes late, she didn't miss a beat and folded us right into the group. There were about 12 of us total, small enough that we ended up chatting with the other guests, which added to the experience. She walked us through a tasting of 2 olive oils and 5 wines (a rosé, 2 whites, 2 reds), all grown organically on the property. Alongside that came a generous spread of sliced meats, cheese, frittata, bread, and chips and crackers. The oil and the wine was so good that we ended up shipping 2 cases home. Small bonus: the dog, Tom, and cat, Princess have clearly got the run of the place and were happy to soak up attention from guests while lounging around in what might be the best backyard in Spain. Did this with my wife and two adult daughters, all four of us agreed it was a standout. Highly recommend, especially if you can snag the sunset slot.

A Malaga Must Do

Damien was a fantastic tour guide! He was prompt and clear about meeting point, he had infinite knowledge about Malaga and the historic sites, and chose fantastic restaurants for our food experience. We also had one person in our party with a bad knee and Damien was extremely helpful in limiting steps as to not aggravate the knee. Very well done!

Amazing Guide

Honest Wine and Great Fun!!

We have had wine tours around the world and THIS was one of the best. From start to finish it felt personal and curated. The wine was excellent and the food pairings were exceptionally well done. Mother Daughter Moments in Malaga

If you’re lucky enough to have an evening in Malaga, a Wine Tapas & Flamenco Show is the way to go! Emma was knowledgeable, energetic, and made it feel like we were walking around town with a friend. Our small group only had 6 including Emma which made it easier to get in and out of restaurants. We went to the oldest winery in Malaga (which was crazy crowded but I understand why!), as well as the popular El Pimpi and ended at Taverna El Mentidero before our Flamenco show. Emma did a great job of helping us taste the wine and tapas we hadn’t experienced yet (I came prepared with a list) and was super patient helping me record everything we tried so I’d know for the future. The flamenco show at the end of the night was intimate, intense and mind blowing. Earlier in the night she explained the birth of Flamenco to us, which made this final experience more impactful and emotional. I would highly recommend this tour. Everyone was so communicative leading up to it and afterward. A great way to get to know Malaga, it’s local food and wine and get comfortable exploring the city.
