Cannot recommend this trip enough! My wife and I had and outstanding trip along the coast with captain Jack. We were travelling at the end of october and jack had advised us before hand that the tour would've been confirmed only in case of great weather. He reached out a couple of days prior to rearrange the date and time of the tour so that we could enjoy the perfect day. The views were amazing and the peace and quiet around was truly unmatched.

Very laid-back, private boat adventure. Sam was very flexible as to what we wanted to do - - Can go wherever with the allotted time, but seriously, you can’t miss Portofino!

Cancelled the boat 15 minutes before departure. They gave an option of possibly another day, however this was planned as our last day activity on vacation. Extremely disappointed / disappointing. Would never recommend this company.

sorry to read your absurd and unfair review.
I have texted you first thing in the morning (7am) informing you about the issue we had on the boat and that we had been fixing it since 5 am (at sunrise).
You ONLY DECIDED TO REPLY at 9.15 (15 minutes to the tour time) when the tour had already been fully refunded (to give you the freedom to choose another operator). Cannot believe you had only woke up at 9.15 with a scheduled tour at 9.30.
You came to the dock at around 10 to check for yourself, the boat was there and not booked to someone else / overbooked. The boat was broken and you were able to see it.
I immediately sent you (at 9.15 when you replied) other available options for the day, from esteemed colleagues, guaranteeing you the best price. You firstly declined the offers in a rude manner (dismissing the boats proposed) and secondly by not answering in any way and ignoring our efforts.
Luckily, this unfortunate event has demonstrated you are just one of those guests we never would like to have on our boats anyway.

Service provider was very accommodating to rebook us after a weather cancellation. However the skipper we had was not very engaged with us - didn’t talk much, explain the area, offer for photos, etc. he wasn’t rude or anything, just not the best host.

I am sorry to read your average review as we always put our outmost effort to deliver the best experience possible to our guests. For this same reason I am happy you appreciated my efforts to reschedule you to a better day for your tour!
After 6 years in the business I must admit it is not always easy to "read" the guests we have onboard our boats. As we aim to deliver the best possible service, we also have to consider guests who might not enjoy extensive conversations, explanations or generally talkative trip. Some guests (many more than you might think) prefer to simply enjoy the panorama and are not at all interested in learning more about the landmarks (let alone having conversations with the skipper).
In our pursuit of excellence we try to tailor not only the itinerary but also our "standing" towards the client. Indeed we might sometimes "mis-read" a client and think they might prefer a more formal approach.
As you said, your skipper was not rude (which is very important), shared information about the area and offered to take pictures...things I believe should be expected (ie. the skipper has not offered a poorer service). In terms of the amount of engagement with you...this is extremely subjective...but am sure the skipper has not been more "detached" in bad faith but has simply misread your intention of engaging in broader conversations.
In the future, we will surely be more careful in "reading" each client. However, I also would like to recommend to be proactive in creating engagement opportunities with your skipper / tour guide (ie. asking questions or giving more extensive answers to questions the guide might ask you), this way, the skipper will be able to better understand the type of connection you would like to establish.
I hope you will have the chance to test this yourself next time you visit our area!

What a wonderful day we had on the boat with Lorenzo. He was a wealth of knowledge of history, and he completed our trip with his endless commentary. We loved the boat ride, Lorenzo was a great guide who told us all about the history of the places we were visiting. The boat was beautiful and we got to swim and they had beverages for us which was lovely. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely outstanding half day tour with Captain Giacomo onboard the mimi 7.5 boat. Booked last minute and he reached out immediately through WhatsApp to make sure we were all set with meeting point and time. The views are stunning and Giacomo was keen to share a lot of fascinating details about the history of the area. Highly recommend!

We were very disappointed with this tour. It was not worth the cost. The captain was new and didn’t share a lot of the landmarks and interesting details. We had to ask for everything that was listed in the itinerary as well as for the beverages and snorkels. There was five of us and they had a lot of beer but only one soda and then one snorkel and mask as I was told by the organizer that they broke the day before. I would suggest requesting these items or at least asking more questions about what all specifically is provided.

Giaccomo was an excellent skipper and guide. We went snorkeling near San frussutto, and enjoyed cruising around the cinque terra. Would recommend this trip !

Jake (Jacamo) was a wonderful guide. Very personable and extremely knowledgeable. The scenery was fabulous and the swimming was great. We were able to adjust our tour and stay in town for a short time.
