Salim was very polite and knowledgeable of Morrocco. He took us places we likely would not have been on our own. There was no pressure to buy things. Our Tour had 12 people, with 3 languages spoken. While Salim did an impressive job of shifting between 3 languages, the need to do so made this Tour very slow, hard to follow at times and what we covered could have been accomplished in a fraction of the time. The description of this Tour did list the 3 languages but I assumed there would be different groups based on language. I have never purchased a Tour on viator that was done this way and if I knew this, I would not have purchased and looked for a private guide.

We hired his services because of the mention that he is a Portuguese speaker but we really regret.
He charged us 30€ more just to share one information (where to see 🐪 in Fès - it's called Obripark if you want to go without paying for the info. 1 hour tour with the 🐪 20€).
He knows the historical places, this is true. We weren't interested in shopping and we informed when starting the tour, but he continued going on their associate shops and he really got angry when we didn't buy anything, calling us cheapskate in arabic thinking that I was not able to understand. As he was not available on the first day that we arrived, we walked alone and we already bought stuff, so we knew the overall prices and his shops are not the best.
Not sure if he's an official guide as we never see his id (the official guides have their id in a lane easy view all the time).
Must be patient to enjoy the tour.

First the good things: The guide tested to confirm everything before the tour, picked us up when promised, and showed us everything, as agreed. Now, what we didn't like: Hopefully,
the tour guide will accept this as constructive criticism. Every sentence he spoke ended with "my dear sir" or "my dear madam" . 4 hours of this. His personality was not like what you might normally expect from a tour guide. I'll leave it at that. He did what was agreed to, but I found the tour tedious. I don't like leaving this kind of review, but others should know that this tour was out of the ordinary for what we have come to expect from Viator.

We loved this tour with Salim! It was the best way to see also less popular/touristic areas of the medina. Salim knows the medina very well and he will not bring you to touristic shops. I absolutely recommend it!

If you want the best experience with Fes, you will need to go with Salim, our guide for the tour. He went out of his way to ensure that we see everything that was in our list. An honest, hardworking and knowledgeable guide. At the end of the tour, I had forgotten my hat at the restaurant. Once I reached the hotel, he personally collected and delivered it to me. I took this tour together with my family, Mr. Selim took us to the most famous places of Fez, in a relaxed way, we stopped at places of interest, to rest, to have a snack, to do some shopping, we even had a hammam session. Mr. Selim has a deep knowledge about Fez. Unforgettable! I recommend!

Salim es el guía más amable, servicial, responsable y honesto que hay en Fez.
Su español es muy bueno, sus conocimientos sobre la ciudad excelentes, sus consejos sobre dónde comer, dónde hacer hamman, etc... muy buenos.

Il nous a fait découvrir la vie locale. Il nous a offert une soupe typique accompagnée d'un thé et café.
Il connaît la médina sur le bout des doigts.

Salim es extremadamente amable y simpático, además de una persona leída. Recomendamos hacer la ruta más cultural entre las opciones que ofrece. Siempre dispuesto a ayudarnos incluso terminado el tour, es una persona en la se puede confiar (cualquier tema de dinero, transporte, etc) Estamos seguros de que contactaremos con él cuando volvamos a Fez.
