Abdul was our tour guide in February 2026. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, caring, patient and accommodating. He picked us up from our Riad. He took us to many places and explained the history and details behind them. We were able to visit the city in depth and learned a lot from him. He was able to provide us recommendation and showed us around. He even asked if there was any places we would like to visit, which we appreciated. We finished visiting all the places we wanted to visit on this tour. We felt very safe walking around too. Although the tour is a bit on the pricer side, it is totally worth it. Without the tour, the experience would be completely different and we would be missing out the whole history behind it. We highly recommend it and we had lots of fun!!!!

Excellent tour with Youssef

I would highly recommend this tour as the best way to see Fes. My guide Youssef was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable and spoke very good English. We saw so many interesting parts of the medina (walking tour) and various other amazing viewpoints and sights around the outside (car tour with lots of stops). I also liked that he gave me time to myself to enjoy the lovely Jardin Jnane Sybil and a beautiful madrassa inside the medina, as well as to have some rest and refreshment on a rooftop terrace of a nice restaurant. As part of the tour we visited various cooperatives to see how some of the local goods (ceramics, leather goods, argan oil products) were made. These visits were interesting; they did not take too long and I never felt under any pressure to buy anything or stay longer than necessary. Thanks to Youssef (guide) and Mohammed (driver) for a fascinating and memorable day!

Exceptional!

My guide was Abdellatif Maskine -- exceptional! We had a tight timeline, and he navigated the maze of souks perfectly. He seemed to know everyone -- and everyone knew him. We ran a little late to catch my train, so he took me on his motorbike (with a big roller bag on my arm!) to the train station, zipping through traffic like a pro. I feel like I made a great friend and can't wait to return.

Low pressure shopping, excellent timing to get into places with no or low crowds. And, an amazing place for a late lunch. Everything was thought out and well done. Abi was our tour guide and he was excellent! My partner and I booked a private tour around Fes and we learned so much. Abi made the experience fruitful. He took us around the maze-like souks and local roads that you would otherwise get lost if you are a tourist navigating it alone. Abi gave detailed explanations of the culture, history and truth to Moroccan life. You can tell that Abi is a genuine soul. I highly recommend this tour!

Great day - great guide - great driver - great experiences!

Our guide Abi was great. He definitely knows this city as evidenced by his many facts and how many people he knew as we walked around. He very much catered the tour to what we were looking for. We saw so much more of the medina than we were expecting and it was awesome! The visit inside two Dar's was really a nice treat (one still under modifications). The ceramics location was also quite interesting. Although we didn't buy anything, we really enjoyed learning how they make the pottery and mosaics. The views from afar were also a nice touch and gave a real sense of how big Fes really is. We certainly didn't grasp everything our guide told us today, but we learned a lot and are really grateful to Abi as well as our driver for taking such good care of us.

Live and learn

Ever been to Sevierville, TN and see one of those "$500 in coupons" offers? All you have to do is sit through the sales pitch and you get your coupons. Problem is, the sales guy is really aggressive and won't let you leave. Yeah, this is that. When they say they are going to take to a ceramics place to show you how they do it they are not lying. But at the end, the hard sell begins. Likewise with the carpet thing, except there's no "how it's done" part, it's just a hard sell. And, after we had finally escaped this "tour", we found the "only today" prices they were giving were about 8 times the normal price you would pay otherwise. To be honest, there isn't much to see in Fes outside the Medina. They show you the doors to the palace but you can't go inside. Save your money and just take an Uber to the Medina, walk around, and go back.

Abbe was Excellent and very knowledgeable. Abbe was warm, funny, thoughtful, and has a depth of understanding, knowledge and very enjoyable to converse with. A Wonderful Day in Fez - Great Experience

My husband and I booked this private tour of Fez, and it was one of the best experiences of our Morocco trip. Our guide met us at our hotel right on time and was welcoming from the start. The first part of the tour was by car, where we visited the Royal Palace, got amazing panoramic views of the city, walked around the historic Jewish quarter, and stopped at the Blue Gate. The second part of the tour was a walking journey through the winding alleys of the Medina. We would have definitely been lost without our guide’s local knowledge. He took us through must-see spots like the Al-Attarine Madrasa, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, and the famous Chouara Tannery where leather is still dyed using traditional methods. He explained the history and culture behind each place, giving us a deeper insight of Fez and Moroccan traditions. Throughout the tour, he kept us well hydrated with free water bottles and always checked if we needed more. He was also more than happy to take photos of us and pointed out where we are allowed to take photos and videos. He helped us bargain for fair prices when we were shopping and took us to various local cooperatives for pottery, spices, cosmetics, rugs, and agave silk. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything. Everyone we met was respectful and friendly, and happy to chat and answer our questions even if we didn’t purchase anything. We also got to try a variety of free samples of traditional Moroccan sweets, cheeses, and other foods while walking through the Medina. One of our favorite moments was when the guide led us to a hidden spot where we had the best mint tea ever, made with seven different herbs. It was free and felt like such a special experience that we would never have found on our own. At the Madrasa, the admission fees were not included in the tour, but the guide covered both of our tickets without asking for anything in return, which was incredibly generous. For lunch, the guide took us to a wonderful local restaurant where we were allowed to sample all the dishes in the kitchen before ordering. The food was the best we had in Morocco (so delicious!), and they even offered unlimited starters for free. The staff were just as friendly and welcoming as everyone else we met that day. Everyone in the Medina, from shopkeepers to street vendors, was warm, friendly, and genuinely happy to chat. We also appreciated how flexible the guide was during the walking tour. We never felt rushed and were able to go at our own pace. He even offered to help with dinner reservations when we mentioned it. One small thing to note is that the car’s air conditioning wasn’t working. It wasn’t a big issue though, since the weather wasn’t too hot (although my husband disagrees), and we spent most of the time walking in the Medina anyway. Overall, this was an amazing way to explore Fez. The hospitality from both the guide and the locals really stood out. Highly recommend!

Best tour I’ve ever taken! Abdul was an amazing guide

Book it! We were picked up on time in a clean comfortable Mercedes, the driver was professional. Abdul was the best guide ever! His English was impeccable and he gave us so much information. We went to a woman’s kitchen and sampled delicious cookies. Then we were first to arrive at the synagogue which was opened when we arrived. He had us sample candy, fruits, cheese, olives, rose water… He helped us shop-but there was no pressure to go to the carpet shop- the interior was magnificent-worth it even if you have no interest in buying a carpet. He took us to lunch in the Medina where we went into the kitchen and sampled a number of dishes before ordering. So fun. He went to another restaurant to bring us baby artichoke hearts that are only in season for a few weeks (we had seen them being cleaned in the market) He helped my friend find a good quality Fez for a good price. Took us to all the sights in the Medina. Genuinely nice, knowledgeable and exceptional guide!!

Excellent tour

My partner and myself had a wonderful and fascinating tour of Fes with Abdul. He was very professional and knowledgeable and brought the city’s history alive. The first part of the tour was by air conditioned minibus with various stops including 2 that provided panoramic views of the city as well as stops within the old city itself. The second part of the tour was walking through the streets of the old city including seeing various markets, several mosques, the university of Al-Qarawiyyin (the worlds oldest university) and the Chouara tannery.
