It was NOT a great day in Chefchaouen.

Man! This excursion was a cluster from the start. We never heard from them as far as pickup to confirm if they would come to the riad or we needed to meet them somewhere. We reached out via the Viator app, and Viator even sent them two emails. Nothing. The morning of, pickup was to be between 7:30 and 8 a.m. We were outside at 7:25 a.m. and waited until 8:07 a.m. and nothing. I called the number on the ticket and a man, who sounded like he was awakened by the call, answered and said he would be there soon. At 8:20 a.m. a man came to the riad, walked us out to a car and then that car took us to the side of a road to get into a larger minivan with another group. In the meantime, I had 2 calls and a message asking if we had already been picked up, which was a little unnerving that maybe we had gone with the person. The booking said breakfast and water were included, but neither were provided nor made available to purchase. I read reviews prior to selecting this trip and they all raved about Said. We didn’t even get our drivers name. There was no air conditioning unless you count the drivers window being down the whole way there and back. Instructions and conversation were limited to “10 minutes. Take picture.” and “Meet here 5 o’clock.” I do not recommend this trip at all. You can hire a private driver for a similar cost and have a much better experience as we learned after the fact.
