They should have cancelled

The weather was very windy and they should have cancelled the tour. But they didn't. We didn't make it to the Ria Formosa due to the windy weather. We only paddled up the cove by old run down homes with barking dogs. The guild gave us NO information and did not stay with us. He was always far ahead. The kayaks had no back support and the paddles had no grips, just metal.

Really great way to spend a morning! After booking, Salty Experience contacted me via WhatsApp to confirm location & quickly answered any questions. When we got there, we were given a small dry bag for our phones, and space to change/leave our bags. It was just me and my friend on the tour, and our guide took us through the basics of SUP before heading off for a casual paddle down the Ria Formosa, exploring some of the reserve. We stopped for a while to take some photos and enjoy the views before heading back. We were allowed to remain on the SUPs for a short while after returning & then could use the showers to wash off some of the sand. Wonderful experience, would totally do again!
