Great tour guide, incredible views

Our tour guide Shak was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. He knew so much about the history of the places we visited and drove through. We had some extra time so he made a bonus stop to see some Highland cows. The views were unforgettable and it was lovely to sit back and enjoy the ride rather than try to drive ourselves.

Tour was just ok for 700.00. Scone was a nice visit but the rest of it was average The driver was not the local Scottish guide that we were hoping for and he was often difficult to understand. The car was way too small and I had difficulty getting in and out, we were dropped for lunch at a place that wasn’t much more than a diner. The driver was very cordial and accommodating but for 700 US dollars the tour was not even close to worth it. I definitely would not recommend this tour.

We sent you one of our most experienced local Scottish guides, Taiymur, who has many 5-star reviews on Tripadvisor as a testament to his knowledge, experience, and dedication to ensuring his guests have a good time. I am sorry you struggled to understand his accent. Having spoken to Taiymur, he did not recall you having mentioned that on the day, otherwise he could have spoken more clearly and slowly for you. Regarding the car provided: this was the category you paid for, and is one of the biggest saloon car models in Europe. As mentioned on our tour listing, we always ask customers to bear in mind that cars in Europe are smaller than in the US. If you wanted a larger vehicle, this could have been easily provided by booking the next size vehicle category. Please bear this in mind when booking future private tours in Europe. Regarding your lunch option, we take on board your feedback regarding the choice of restaurant. However, like you mentioned, our guides are very accommodating, and Taiymur could have taken you to a different place if you were not happy with the choice. Regarding the content of the tour: on the day you decided to skip some of the places, such as the whisky tour as you were feeling unwell. Had you gone to all the places listed, you might have enjoyed your tour a bit more. If you use our services again in the future, we would ask that you let us know of any concerns on the day of the tour so we can try to fix these for you. Thank you for your feedback
