Mr Saf was an incredible tour guide. This was perfect way to experience the city of Edinburgh. We got to enjoy nooks and crannies that would not have been possible in a larger tour. We also enjoyed being able to customize our experience. Our tour guide was friendly, with a great personality and sense of humor and incredible knowledge of the city and rich cultural history. He was a phenomenal cameraman as well and helped us get amazing shots! It was a perfect birthday gift! We highly recommend this tour.

This review is 5 stars because of the customer service, not the tour itself. Unfortunately, our ship was not able to tender to Edinburgh due to weather conditions. We learned of the cancellation only about an hour before our tour was scheduled to start, and we had already paid for the tour. Viator handled this all very professionally and treated me very fairly in refunding what we had paid. We were past the cancellation deadline and grateful for their understanding of the situation.
Beyond that issue, the team at Viator did a great job communicating with me from my initial inquiry to letting me know exactly where our guide would meet us. I really wish we could have taken this tour—maybe someday!

Ask for a less thick accent to improve the enjoyabikity. Our private tour was in a black traditional taxi car, a private driver. It was hard to see out with the barrier between us and the driver. We saw many wonderful landmarks and learned much about the culture. Take this tour early in your journey. Calton Hill cafe with the glass walls.

Wow. We were blown away not only by Edinburg’s beauty but also by this incredible tour! Our guide, Saf! Saf was so knowledgeable and you could clearly see how much he loves this city and Scotland. That made the tour that much more fun and worth it! We were able to pack so much in within 4 hours and the car ride made it all the worthwhile (we only had a few days in Edinburgh). Saf also gave us some great recommendations that we were able to follow up on the following day. Saf also took many fantastic photos! We joked that he should quit his day job and do that full time! Highly recommend not only taking the tour but also doing so with Saf as your guide. You will have no regrets!

Booked this tour in advance of traveling to Edinburgh and loved every minute as we learned so much about the city in just a few hours! Mr. Saf customized the adventure to places of interest and avoided the peak times at certain venues to make the most of our day! Our driver, Sal, was very courteous and knowledgeable. We experienced seeing many hidden gems as well as the main tourist attractions. He knew a lot of history and made the tour educational. We had a very enjoyable time and would do this tour again if we came back to Scotland.

This tour exceeded my expectations! We were able to cover so much ground in. Shirt period of time with the best guide. Sat was so knowledgeable and flexible. Threw him a curve ball by asking to see sheep:) He made it happen and elevated that by taking us to a market, Craigie’s, which was amazing. Our family had a phenomenal time because of him. Highly recommend this tour!!! Could never have seen all of the sites on our own and the history of each stop was priceless!!!
