Itinerary
Please meet your tour guide at Pile Square, outside the Old Town city walls, by the Amerling fountain next to the 'Dubravka 1836' restaurant & bar." Watch the city get smaller as you ascend up the rocky mountain. Once at the top, take some time to enjoy the incredible views: the medieval walled town of Dubrovnik, the vast Adriatic Sea, the islands that dot the horizon. Locals claim that on a clear day you can see as far as 37 miles (67 kilometers).
After the photo stop atop Mt Srđ, go down the way you went up: via the cable car. Once at the bottom, make the very short walk to Old Town, for Stari Grad, as locals call it, for the second portion of the tour: walking the streets of Old Town.
Stroll through Pile Gate, one of three entrances that go through the 12th-century walls and stop at Onofrio’s Fountain, a large circular structure with faucets that was the terminus for the 7.5-mile (12-km) aqueduct that flowed drinking water into Dubrovnik. Then walk over to the nearby medieval Franciscan monastery, home to a recently restored Pieta sculpture and one of the oldest still-working pharmacies in Europe.
Later amble down Stradun, the main pedestrian thoroughfare of the Old Town, and stop at the Renaissance-era Sponza Palace, today the home of the state archives. Within eyeshot, you’ll also visit Orlando’s Column, the Cathedral of the Assumption, and the Church of St Blaise, the city’s patron saint.

Our trip was changed due to not enough numbers on the Thursday which turned out better as weather was not nice on Thursday. So we went Saturday our tour guide name beginning with T forgot his name was a lovely guy knew his history inside out. Shows us the best place for photos & showed us how to do a timelapse video on the cable car
Took us to a wonderful shop where we bought home made treats like candied orange please & fig salami. Would highly recommend the tour to anyone seeing Dubrovnik for the 1st time. Our tour guide grew up in Dubrovnik so knows it inside out.

This tour is great to learn all about Dubrovnik & especially old town. Our Tour guide, Elvis, was a font of information & he had a very open & friendly way of relating to our tour group. Also this tour included the cable car tickets which many tours do not & that was invaluable because we were able to just get right on without having to stop to buy our own tickets. Overall a don’t miss tour.

We had a great experience on this tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was easy to understand. He was very warm and friendly.
One suggestion, make sure and bring a hat. The sun can be harsh in some parts.
Overall, a great tour!

The walking tour leader was very knowledgeable and friendly. She should us many sites that we hadn’t seen before.
The only negative for the tour was the headsets were not good quality. It was difficult to hear due to the poor quality of the earbuds.

Our tour guide Natasha was great. She had a great sense of humor. She made sure that our group which was seniors were able to see The Old Town in its entirety walking vs climbing stairs.

The cable car was a nice ride to the top of the mountain. There were beautiful views from the top of the Old Town, harbors, islands & surrounding areas. Had enough time on top for pictures & shopping. Afterwards, there was a walking tour of the City. The walking tour was slightly different from the tour we talk with the City Walls.
I guess I would have appreciated it more & given it 5 stars if I hadn't done the walking tour with the City Walls tour earlier. Some of the walk was repeated. If you decide to take both tours, it is an easy walk to cable car station to do on your own.

Mirella was an amazing guide, with the perfect dose of history, current context, and insider local tips and recommendations! There were no lines, the views were exceptional, and as an overweight out of shape American I felt very capable and supported when I needed to catch my breath - Mirella didn’t make anyone feel rushed or judged, it was entertaining and informative! 💕

It’s was an okay tour. Gives basic information of city. For price is adequate to get orientation. Had trouble finding meeting location.

This was a great tour once it got started. You start in Pile Square, go up the cable car, hang around at the top for 20-30 min, travel back down the cable car, then tour Old Town. There was unforeseen delays to our group due to two people being late. The delayed patrons claimed not being able to walk up the hill to the cable car and got dropped off at the cable car instead of Pile Square. This was no fault of our guide, Maria, but she definitely got the heat for the tour starting late because of them. We felt she handled the situation the best she could despite patrons booking a walking tour when they “couldn’t walk up the hill”. (It was a smooth, steady incline without steps, very doable). She led with patience and grace to get our group back on track. BE AWARE: the tour does not offer skip the line for the cable car ride. We waited 50 minutes in early high season. And there really isn’t anything up on the hill once you arrive via cable car. Yes, the view is spectacular, but aside from that there is only a gift shop. You leave when the tour group leaves. Once we were back at the bottom in Old Town the tour ran much smoother! I wish the tour was structured differently to start at Pile Square, go through Old Town, then option to Cable Car at the end.

Elvis was the greatest!! We had difficulty disembarking our cruise ship and therefore missed the first part of our tour (the cable car ride). Elvis picked us up for the second part of the tour and graciously took us to the cable car once walking Old Town tour was completed. We were grateful we did not have to miss the cable car ride! It is very hot so bring hats, water and good walking shoes. We had hand held fans which helped stave off the heat. Elvis was knowledgable and informative. He even provided recommendations for dinner later that evening. Great tour and tour guide! I

A must thing to do and totally awesome. My family was so amazed and would love to do it all again.
Shirley_L, Oct 2017
The view is lovely. It would still have been good without the guide.you can find your way round without help and not have to worry about the time. Felt we didn't have time to explore the military outlook..
Jeffrey B, Sep 2017
Very disappointing. We booked this tour primarily for the cable car ride. Viators what to expect information said a chance to savour the views and scenery from the top of Mt Sud, and after about 1 hour return down. Well when we got to the top the guide said you have 15 minutes!! Scarcely time to visit the toilet before rejoining the queue to go down. We anticipated spending some time photographing the scenery and perhaps taking some refreshment amidst the amazing views. Such a short visit is extremely poor value.
