Very good guide. Got the feeling for the city highlights. I only reccomend that you distribute maps and highlights lists to all attending this tour. Paper is still important in this overly tech heavy world where all of the responseability has been transsitioned to to the client/customer

I had a half-day to explore and this about 90 minutes of walking around the harborfront and the "Beatles alley". Our guide (former teacher, I think it was Paul, or Phil?) gave us a survey of former shipping glory, the extent of the piers, and the city's need to evolve after shipping shifted to Southhampton. Key buildings noted. General music history (didn't need a fullon Beatles tour), the Bridewell pub, some stories.

What a great tour, full of Irish & Dublin’s history. Harry is an excellent guide who knows his stuff. Full of history as well as stories and a few jokes. Highly recommended and a great way to exercise as well as get a good oversight of the city of Dublin.

It was a cold morning for a walking tour but Ronan did a great job giving us the history of this beautiful city and keeping us moving! We didn't appreciate how walkable Dublin is. A short walk from our hotel near Christ Church Cathedral to the Golden Tree plaza and we were off on an educational and entertaining walk around the Temple Bar and Christchurch area before crossing the Liffey and learning about the area north of the river.

Awful. The first problem was we couldn't meet our morning tour time because our cruise ship was late on our arrival. That was our challenge, but the tour operator moved us to an afternoon tour. However, we were at the meeting point on time and could not find the tour operator.

That was most unfortunate for you, obviously, but for some reason you were not at the correct meeting point (Central Plaza, at the Tree of Gold Sculpture, at the corner of Dame Street & Fownes Street). This would have been on your Viator ticket/email as your booking was made through Viator. Our assistant to the guide waited an extra 15 minutes in case you showed up. We understand your frustration at missing the tour but it was a great pity that you were at the incorrect place.

Thank you for your review. That's a tricky one. It rains a lot in Ireland so we always keep going in the rain unless there is an exceptionally heavy cloudburt. Coming to Dublin you need to have rain protection at the ready. However, I'm sorry if you did get wet.

We went on the 2:15pm walking tour.
The tour guide was engaging and knowledgeable. She shared many insights and personal anecdotes.
Unfortunately there were many sights in the tour description that were omitted:
-Trinity College
-Dublin Castle
-Abbey Theatre
-Christ Church Cathedral
-City Hall
We were disappointed to re-read the tour listing and realize the sights that were missed.
We contacted Pat Liddy’s office and the response was that Viator ‘enhances’ the tour description in hopes of creating more interest & more customers for the tour. Very disingenuous to knowingly keep the description and not include the highlighted sights. Very unfair to customers. We would recommend looking elsewhere for a walking tour of Dublin.

I'm sorry if you thought you missed the above sights but you did pass through Dublin Castle, stop outside Christ Church Cathedral and finish beside Trinity College. We never described on our own website about going into or showing City Hall, the Abbey Theatre or going inside Trinity College (which is not allowed to tour groups). I think part of the problem was hat the tour decription that was misleading was on a third party website and not ours. It has since been corrected on the other website.

Our original tour guide left before the specified time ...and we were there 10 min before that time as were another couple. I sent a text message to the tour guide, and Melissa Garza ( from their office) ran (literally) to the rescue and took us four on the tour. She was wonderful! So knowledgeable, and friendly, she rescued our tour for us!!

Melissa is a star, sure enough. Normally our guide would never leave before the appointed time so obviously something went a bit wrong that day but luckily we were able to retieve the situation.

Our guide Jim was one of the best we’ve had in the many tours we’ve done all around Europe. He’s very knowledgeable, patient & humorous in his narrations. You cover a lot of territory & points of interest, so try doing this on your first day in Dublin so you’ll be informed about the places you’ll want to go back to see in more depth on your own.

Despite the weather and the fact we were late arriving due to our ship having trouble docking we had a wonderful time. One of the guides stayed behind to help us catch up to our group and we were able to continue with no problems. lots of history and our guide was very interesting.
I highly recommend this tour.
