Did this tour while on a cruise stop. Took a chance and booked this direct. Very reasonable cost. We were the only ones on the tour so we had Manuel as our private guide. Would recommend this tour if coming here.

It was a tour of Puerto Plata. We saw all the iconic sites in town plus toured a cigar factory, jewelry store and other points of interest. Manuel was a very good host and guide and he related some interesting things along the way.

It was an awesome tour. Our guide was amazing at making sure we were seeing all the highlighted spots in the city. He was even accommodating in adjusting the tour schedule to fit our needs of what our interests were. Book this tour! 10/10 experience.

I had an amazing tour during my cruise stop at Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic. The guide was responsive and helpful, keeping me informed about where we were meeting and even took pictures along the way. We visited all the points as promised, and the lunch was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this tour!

Manuel is everything you want in a tour guide. He’s knowledgeable, made us very comfortable, gave us so much information about the city, accommodated us to what we wanted to do. Gave us options without ever feeling pressured to buy/do anything , took pictures and gave pose recommendations like a photographer! He got my husband and I some really great shots together right from our phones. Very personable and professional, book the tour! The city is filled with old Caribbean history and beautiful views. The people of the city are so kind, always want to help and police are everywhere ensuring safety & peace.

Loved loved loved the city tour! Our tour guide/ driver was so accommodating and showed us the most beautiful views of the city. He found a empanada spot for us to try also. The stops he provided were beautiful, our favorite was the rum house. Thank you Emanuel🙂

Manuel from Algeria tours was fantastic! He did not disappoint. He took us all around the city stopping for us to get pictures and explaining the history of Dominican Republic. We enjoyed the square and a great lunch on the beach!

We had a fantastic time with Emanuel….. we could not have asked for a better guide!
He showed us the town, some lovely homes, wonderful larimar shop where the jewelry was being made:))
Gorgeous views and then on to a beautiful beach area where he had lunch arranged for us that was very tasty:))
Had a lovely swim in the ocean and sat under coconut trees… so pretty:))
Before going back to the ship we also went to a chocolate factory!! Very interesting and delicious tastings:)
Also a great rum factory where we tasted 6 different ones!! Delicious and each one just got better!! Ha!
Actually this tour with Emanuel was the best one we did on our whole cruise! We got a great feel for The Dominican Republic!! Town was Puerta Plata…

Wonderful overview of the city. Manuel was patient kind helpful and seemingly popular enough to run for political office … but too nice and honest!😀 We enjoyed a private experience, a lunch with locals and a well-planned tour including everything mentioned. Remember to meet at the outside entrance… a bit of a walk from the cruise ships as tours are not allowed inside

Manuel was great, it was a private tour than anything else, drove us around the city, telling us about everything, we asked him to go to a pharmacy, he was happy to take us, waited patiently, never rushed us. We started at 9am and took us back to the cruise around 4pm. No extra charges for anything, food was included, help us with photos, we were even able to communicate via WhatsApp, responding quickly. It was great.

Our tour guide Manuel was outside the pier shopping areawaiting for our arrival. He was very friendly and knowledgeable of the city. We visited all the key areas of the city and drove safely through challenging traffic. Had a great lunch at the beach and overall great tour. Highly recommended.
