DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY "HAPPY GRINGO TOURS" This company is hopeless. Very bad communication and management. They never contact and share any booking details until very last minute. Finally they contacted us 1.5 days before the inca trial start date was to inform us the start date need to PUSH BACK ONE DAY. Happy Gringo Tours claimed there is a new ticket system from Machu Picchu new management and everyone in the tour will be affected but ended up it is a LIE. We have to reschedule our accommodation and other planned activities because of this last minute change. Do not book with them unless you want a last minute surprise. I wish there is negative star rating I could provide to this hopeless company and management. The tour itself was fine and need to give credit to the tour guide and the team.

We are sure why you wrote this negative opinion, as we did not facilitate it on time, nor did we provide a fake insurance letter for your travel insurance, which you were seeking to charge to your travel insurance illegally. We are sorry about it! The company can not do it :( And we work seriously with Viator. Our clients are very important. The Inca trail is amazing but this tour operator will do all to destroy fun of it for you - 1) no pick up even though it’s promised 2) you need to carry your rented sleeping bag plus linen or you pay 150 soles / 40 USD/EUR per day 3) the guide doesn’t even intruduce himself , drinks alcohol to the point of loosing consciousness and is also touching / kissing participants without permission 4) you don’t know the plan - you will need to ask for everything and solve your problems 5) and if you provide the feedback they will tell you that they could not accept you to the trip . For a trip where you pay 850 USD it’s not accepted and really for drunk and abusive guide - they rejected my refund requested - so stay away !

Hi Marek, Thank you for your report! After several weeks of your blackmailing and incoherent report to damage our image. We have managed to investigate and respond in detail. You have blackmailed like a hungry man for 170 dollars to erase your hateful opinion, but so far, you have not complied. The agency paid you the money you requested in your husband's name, and we have proof of the payment. As you have seen, it is not only the guide who works on the Inca Trail. On the Inca Trail, we work with porters, supervisors, kitchen assistants, and cooks. Why don't you mention them in your report? Now we want to respond to your complaints: Complaint 1) The pick-up was organized with your consent, and you have spoken on the phone with a colleague from the agency to be picked up from Plaza de Armas. Complaint 2) The sleeping bags weigh 2 kilos. When you do not have an extra porter, the clients carry the sleeping bags. You have not carried the tents, food, water, or gas, right? Complaint 3) The guide informed us that when he showed up, you fell asleep, you didn't pay attention to him, and the liquor that the guide drank with you at the second camp was yours, as the guide informed us in his statement. On the other hand, our guide doesn't kiss men, but you insisted on kissing, and he refused. However, out of resentment, you wrote a negative comment, harming his work. We respect LGBT people, but you wanted to cross the line according to the guide's comments - according to the tour guide. Complaint 4) The guide who went with you is very respectful and has years of experience. As you can see in our reports of the same tour, the guide has never had this type of problem before. Complaint 5) We as an agency accept the refund as long as we have faults, but according to the investigation, you lie and slander the guide with a hatred that makes no sense. You had no compassion for the guide when he cared for them for four days, but the agency will never abandon the guide because we have known him for a long time. We invited you to the office to talk, but you chose to chat on WhatsApp, and your attitude was not professional. These details make us understand that you are harming the guide and the agency's image without any criteria. For the Happy Gringo Tours agency! All clients are significant because we would not be in the industry without them. We have many clients who support us and recommend us for the service we provide.
