Itinerary

Be ready for hotel pickup around 9am. Meet your private guide and personal driver, then climb into a comfortable tour vehicle and head for the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

Once you arrive, meet the staff and begin your private tour of the facility, dedicated to panda research and conservation. You may see bears in any stage of the life cycle exploring their enclosures, snoozing, or munching on bamboo. Visit the pond with koi park and check out the resident red pandas as well.

Departing the panda base, choose a spot for lunch (own expense); your guide is happy to provide suggestions.

The afternoon is yours to do what you wish. Your guide can make suggestions for other Chengdu must-see attractions, including but not limited to: the Du Fu Cottage, the Qingyang Palace, the Leshan Grand Buddha, the Sanxingdui Museum, or the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project.

At the end of your day, you'll be dropped back off at your Chengdu hotel.
