Be ready for 8am pickup at your Chengdu accommodations. Meet your dedicated guide and board a private tour vehicle to embark on the 30-minute drive to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. You'll have the advantage of visiting in the morning, when it's most likely you'll witness panda activity.

Once you arrive, meet a staff person from the facility for a private tour. Learn about conservation and rehabilitation efforts for this endangered species. View pandas relaxing, playing, and munching on bamboo in their spacious enclosures. At the center's museum, see displays detailing the very first successful giant panda breeding efforts accomplished here. You'll also see veterinary exhibits, flocks of birds, golden monkeys, a koi pond, and red pandas.

After learning all there is to know about giant pandas, return to your hotel for drop-off at roughly 11:30am.
