Wow! This tour was the best ever. Full day of beautiful scenery , amazing food and nice people ! Our tour guide Demetri was so knowledgeable and friendly. He shared so much about the culture and scenery. The food was amazing and we reallly enjoyed the olive oil and wine tastings. 5 wines. It will not disappoint!

This was an unforgettable tour and experience. Our guide, Manos (spelling?) was so knowledgeable and fun throughout the tour - time went so fast. Manos was excellent - thank you for a fantastic day, you were just off the charts! Great tour from beginning to end. Yiannis is a wonderful guide, punctual and knowledgeable of Greek History. He interacted with us and really ensured the group was satisfied. My bestie and I learned much and that is owed to Yiannis. Great experience with the Someliers learning about Olive oil; difference between extra virgin oil and olive oil. Wine tastings were really good. Omg the lunch at Mhaia was excellent and so delicious. Much gratitude to Yiannis.

It was a wonderful day of travel. Learned a lot of history and fun facts about Crete. Went places we would never have gone on our own. Bought olive oil and wine from our tastings. Orchard does not ship to America though. Lunch has amazing food. Was also able to ask about recommendations for the rest of our trip as far as beaches, restaurants and other activities, so we would suggest booking this excursion at the front end of your trip. Don’t forget to ask about Greek wedding culture. 👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏻‍♂️ Highly recommend this company/trip. Loved our guide. He took very good care of us and our daughter was delighted he knew how to take pictures🤩. He also had a wonderful personality. 🥰. Looking forward to our next trip/booking.

Lovely countryside tour

This was a highlight of the trip For me believe it or not. On the one hand it was a trip to an olive Grove and a mountaintop restaurant. But, the history and culture you learn and feel throughout the trip is remarkable and memorable. The Milia mountain resort,,restaurant is gorgeous in its rustic charm,,and the meal enjoyed there was in the top three I had of my 2 weeks in Crete, probably the best. Loved it.

The tour was very well-paced and each stop felt thoroughly planned. The restaurant offered stunning views and the food was hands down the best food we had during our stay in Crete. It was authentically Cretan. The olive oil tasting was also a standout. We learned so much about the process and the tasting was delicious. Our guide, Vassilis K was exceptionally tentative to our needs. He was incredibly knowledgeable, full of fun facts that kept us entertained throughout the drive. My wife and I along with our daughter just took this adventure today and would love to highly recommend this to anyone that enjoys most excellent history, food (show up hungry!) and wine and all around great conversation all the while driving to great stops along the way! Our tour guide Yannis was most polite and professional as well as knowledgeable about the tasks at hand. We were paired up with a couple from New Jersey . Katie and Alex who were absolutely great. Dimitri our driver was fabulous! He was so well informed about the area we were visiting and made our trip wonderful. Did an olive oil tasting with a wine tasting which was great. After this we went to a country retreat area for lunch which was authentic Greek food and wine. It was absolutely delicious! The entire day was amazing with facts about the area both past and present. Very educational, lots of laughs and fun. Dimitri was fantastic!! Thank you Dimitri !

Nikos arrived promptly to pick us up and explained the itinerary for the day. A well planned and well paced day of visits taking in the ancient olive tree at Vouves wheee we had a choice of coffee or juice. On next to the wine tasting at Anoskeli. We enjoyed several wonderful wines with savoury accompaniments. And then onto Milia mountain retreat for a fantastic lunch. Some great off road travel through the mountains and gorges. Nikos entertained us with stories and Cretan history. Overall a fantastic day and a great way to see more of Crete.

We had a wonderful time! We loved how private and personable the tour is. There were only 4 of us and a tour guide, Nikos. Nikos was very knowledgeable of everything Crete—from its history, to its food, and even animals. The Milia Mountain Retreat was absolutely beautiful. The food was amazing. The wine and olive oil tour was pretty good. Wine is subjective, depending on your taste, but we loved all the selections that they had. They had a variety of wines—from whites to reds. This is definitely something I would recommend to family and friends who visit Chania. The price is also very reasonable.

We were a family of six ranging from 16 to 82. Nik was an exceptional tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable about Crete and the local area. The trip to the wine and olive oil tasting was fantastic along with visiting the oldest olive tree which was spiritual. We had a wonderful drive to Mila with exquisite food. Would highly recommend for those wanting to appreciate the Cretan culture.

Wonderful experience. Vasileios, our host, took us on a stunningly beautiful ride along mountain roads, stopping to taste wine and olive oil, view the 3000 year old olive tree, and culminating with a lavish feast at Milia Restaurant. Our wild ride included a spontaneous off road trip to pick fruit and commune with nature, and honey tasting on the return drive. Vasileios was friendly, VERY knowledgeable, and funny. Cannot recommend enough!

First off, our guide Yiannis was amazing. He was very informative on the region and all the areas we went to. He was very enjoyable and the tour would not have been the same without him. The olive oil and wine tasting were incredible, but the highlight was lunch at Milia’s retreat in the mountains. The food was amazing and the setting and scenery were wonderful. Highly recommend this experience if you are coming to Crete! We do however wish our guide could have joined us during our lunch and refreshments so we could continue our conversations, ask questions and be with a local from the region. Thank you Yiannis!! Delightful day in Crete

We had a delightful time on this excursion. There were just four of us on this tour--my husband and I and two others--so it was very personal. This was our first time in Crete, so seeing the olive trees--from the 3000+ year old tree, to the miles and miles of olive groves was very interesting. And the lunch at the Milia Mountain Restaurant was outstanding. I would highly recommend this tour. It was a great way to spend a day near the port of Souda near the city of Chania.
