Tour with Goldy was amazing, great combination of history and food, super kind, added extra information with art and mythology references. Felt very comfortable, great understanding Cretan culture and history. Food amazing.

Our food tour was an amazing introduction to Greece history, food, and culture! Our guide was so knowledgeable and patient with our 11 year old son. All of the food was tasted was excellent and we received many great recommendations for the rest of our time in Crete. We will highly recommend this food tour for anyone looking to learn more about Crete and sample the delicious traditional foods.

This was a really easy, enjoyable and friendly tour at an easy pace with a local guide. The meeting point was a bit challenging with no english signs but the entire tour was fantastic.

It was a nice easy-paced walk through old Chania with wonderful food stops and a bit of history.
For cruisers, the very inexpensive 3.60 Euros round trip) shuttle bus takes you from the cruise dock to the middle of the old town. The start of the tour is only about 3 blocks away. Very easy to navigate.

We have just returned from the “Delicious Chania Street Food Tour” which was led by Manos. It was a superb tour and Manos was excellent with his knowledge of Chania and Greece in general. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who wants a taste of Chania. The food was exceptional at all locations - and the locals were a joy to meet!

This was our favorite food tour. Our guide Antonis was wonderful, he was very knowledgeable and extremely kind. He took us to SO MANY places, we tried so much food, he kept asking us he we needed more, if we wanted more water, he made sure we were happy with everything. We fell in love with the city and the food. We loved it so much that it was hard to say goodbye to Antonis. What an amazing experience!

Come hungry! Be prepared to walk a good bit and wear sunscreen and/or a hat. The tour is well paced with plenty of stops to rest, take bathroom breaks and get water. Manos our guide was really great! He was not only knowledgeable about the food but the history of Chania and Crete as well!

We had the best time! Great way to experience Chania. There were 5 of us and we started in the morning with some great coffee/tea and a delicious cheese phyllo pastry only made in Crete. We met our guide, Aria who was the best guide we’ve had on any tour. She was so knowledgeable, friendly and easy to communicate with. She catered our tour to our family. We experienced local shops and restaurants getting to try many delicious authentic Crete foods and learning about the different areas of the city, some history and some shopping areas. By the time we were finished we felt as though we had seen the best parts of the city and had tasted the foods that define the area. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite and would highly recommend Aria for this tour!!

We had an absolutely fantastic food tour with Goldie! She took us all around the city, introducing us to incredible local foods that we never would have found on our own. Every stop was delicious, and we left feeling like we had experienced the true flavors of the area.

Guide was a nice enough chap but I have to be honest and say it was a pretty low energy “tour”. Not told a great deal about the food or the town. I think for £80 there has to be value proposition beyond a few snacks and the odd comment on said snacks. I expected a bit of a history tour of the old town centred around food.
For contrast I paid £40 for a near full day tour in Santorini to Akrotiri and a few village stops with a really enthusiastic guide telling us lots, even pointing out flowers as we walked around.

Manos was our guide and he was phenomenal. His tour included a lot of Greek culture and history, in addition to trying olives, cheeses, gyros, coffee, pastries and meze. We also did olive oil tastings. We did a leisurely walk around town, stopping at 6 locations for food, and a couple more places for cultural enrichment. We highly recommend Manos and this tour.

Amina was our fabulous guide. We not only tried many delicious Cretan foods, we were shown an amazing city with a long history. We heard about and saw so much we would have missed. Manos was an amazing tour guide! His love for Greek food and his country showed through. Local food and businesses provide a fabulous 4 hour tour. Starts with breakfast and Greek coffee or tea. Wandering throughout the streets hearing history of Crete is wonderful. Olive and olive oil taste testing along with gelato continue the tour ending with an amazing lunch of appetizers of the best Greek cuisine. Greek beer or wine was also included. Bottled water was also included during the day. Manos was a superb guide. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this excursion!!

Little taste of everything. So much food, so many tastings. Everything was fantastic you also get to learn about the new and old Chania. Our tour guy was local born and bred. Took our kids with us. Had a great time and would highly recommend.

Go in hungry, you will eat a LOT.
Our guide was amazing and helpful and local to Chania. He knew all of the best places for a variety of Cretan specialties - everything we ate was amazing. We particularly enjoyed sampling local oil, vinegar and honey from a supplier in town where you could buy the products to take home. Would highly recommend.

There is SO MUCH FOOD. SO MUCH. Don’t eat before going on this. All of the people in my group were struggling to finish by the second to last stop. There are so many delicious things in Crete. The bougatsa was amazing, and the fava bean spread at the mezze stop was another favorite. Oh and the Cretan dakos (~bruschetta) is chef’s kiss. You will be in a food coma after this.

Great tour. Our guide was funny, full of history, and did his very best to make a cold rainy day as fun as possible. We stopped at a ton of great places to eat, saw lots of old town, and went away as full as possible. First tour I have taken where everyone in the group was stuffed. Would highly recommend. Our group was a family with two teenagers.
