It was a pleasure sharing with you and learning from you as well.
Duran is a delight and has a deep love and knowledge of Marquez. I really loved being in the places Gabo walked and hearing what those places inspired in his books or how they affected his life. This tour was a highlight of Cartagena!

This is perfect for literature folks, fans of Latin American Literature or anyone who wants a themed way to explore Cartegna. Duran Duran thought of everything. Bathroom breaks, water, and snacks.
He has studied and read deeply Gabriel Garcia Marques. He brings his understanding to life with great story telling.
I suggest to revisit your readings of the major works because it will make your journey so much more enjoyable.

We also love learning about Gabo every day.
We have been on many tours and would have to say that this one was by far the best. Angel has an amazing knowledge about Marquez and the history of his life and made us excited to get home to read more of his books. A must tour for anyone visiting caratagena...even if you don’t like to read. Definitely skip the free walking tours. That was a terrible experience.

The tour was excellent, very informative and the tour guide was very knowledgeable of the writer. he had wonderful way of telling his stories that we were very entertaining. He was a great tour guide. Please make sure to have more than 2 hours for tour. Our tour was 4 1/2 hours long. we did a lot of walking as well so make sure to have comfortable shoes. excellent overall!

Loved the tour. The tour guide was quite knowledgeable, funny and friendly. He knew Gabos stories as if they were friends. Please make sure to have extra time as the tour is more than 2 hours long.

If you are a lover of Gabriel Garcia Marquez books this is the tour for you. Duran captures your attention the moment he shows up to give you the tour. We walked through the streets of the old city going back in time to every spot Gabo was in. Duran is knowledgeable and super personable. It is a wonderful nostalgic tour just make sure to have a minimum of 3 hours available for the tour. My sister and I, Loved it!!
