Incredible Experience with a Fantastic Guide

My wife and I had an unforgettable experience touring Robben Island and Table Mountain yesterday. The trip was well-organized, and every moment was filled with history, breathtaking views, and excellent service. Our tour guide was exceptional—incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing the rich history of Robben Island. He brought the stories to life, giving us a deeper appreciation for the island's significance. At Table Mountain, the views were absolutely stunning. The ride up was smooth, and we had ample time to take in the panoramic scenery. The tour was well-paced, allowing us to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. A special mention to our guide for going above and beyond to assist my wife, who uses a walker. His kindness and attentiveness made a world of difference, ensuring she was comfortable and could fully enjoy the experience. If you're visiting Cape Town, this tour is a must-do! Robben Island was great. The tour guide on the bus and the in the prison were very knowledgeable and great captivating speakers. Amiable took us on the city tour afterwards and he was very knowledgeable about the history of cape town and ZAR in general. I would do this tour again for sure.

I was a little leery of this tour after reading reviews that described disorganiztion, but our experience was very smooth despite the necessary handoffs. Our Viator guide brought us all to the ferry station, and stayed behind as Robben Island has their own well trained bus tour guides and then ex prisoner guides for the high security prison. Our Viator guide was clearly waiting for us upon return, it was an easy rendezvous. We had lunch at the top of Table Mountain, I would recommend waiting to buy tram tickets until on site, as the trams shut down in heavy winds. Our driver took us to the kiosk which is apparently the best kept secret in the world as there were lines at the ticket booths, but absolutely no one at the kiosk!

We had a very good experience on Robin Island but the only challenge was that our boat going over was delayed for 50 minutes and so that was very frustrating. The former prisoner who was our guide was extremely informative and interesting. The water was pretty rough coming back.

What a waste of money, actually I want my money back because we paid but no service was provided. The tour came to our hotel walking and we walked to the V&A waterfront to go to Robben Island to our surprise we had to buy tickets to go to the island. So you guys are charging us R1045, 00 for walking from the hotel to waterfront. I’m so mad its not funny this is a rip off. Please refund every cent.

Uma visita memorável pela ilha, pudemos ter mais conhecimento da história de Nelson Mandela. Vale muito a pena visitar Robben Island, no entanto não vale a pena gastar tanto pagando este pacote, o valor pago simplesmente não compensa, é extremamente caro e não acrescenta nenhum, nem mesmo a garrafa de água prometida não tivemos. A taxa para Table Mountain não estava inclusa, a este valor poderiam muito bem incluir a taxa. Uma grande decepção no referente ao valor pago e benefício adquirido, a experiência no entanto foi fantástica e o motorista atencioso.
