Meet at one of several convenient collection points in Cape Town and depart on a comfortable coach to Franschhoek. Admire the scenery, listen to wine commentary, and stay connected with complimentary Wi-Fi along the way.
At Groot Drakenstein Tram station, pick up your tram tickets. Choose which wineries you want to visit, and board the corresponding tram or bus.
Disembark at your choice of wineries for tours, tastings, and food (all own expense). Visit as many wineries as you’d like and spend as much time as you want during operating hours. At the end of your tour, board your coach to return back to Cape Town.

I did the Blue line - Tram Trip and absolutely loved it! The whole experience was very well-organized and ran on time, with friendly and helpful staff making the journey smooth. Each winery stop offered breathtaking views, and the tastings were fantastic and affordable. A truly memorable experience – highly recommended for anyone visiting the area! 🍷🚋🌿

The experience was amazing and we had fun. My only concern was the time management wasn’t so good as we wanted to atleast visit 4 wine estates we end up with 3 because the time wasn’t enough for an entire day

Absolutely loved the Franschhoek Hop-On Hop-Off Wine Tram! Definitely one of the highlights of my Cape Town trip. The wine estates were beautiful, and the communication from the drivers and staff was great.
The only downside was that it wasn’t communicated that some route lines aren’t available on Sundays-we only saw the green line on our tickets. Otherwise, we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend the experience!

So much fun!! The bus and tram rides are short and you can see the country side. Grande Provence is a must! Wished we would have ate lunch here. Do the bus first and then tram!

I came with my 11-year-old son. He enjoyed the child tasting menu at Boschendal (tram) and hanging out by the creek at Allée Bleue (tram bus). Not many places have child tasting menus, so definitely stop at Boschendal if you bring kids.

The company was on time and efficient. We visited 3 wineries I think it would be very hard and rushed to do 5. The tour needed another hour in the region. Overall would go again it was hassle free.

Well organized. Friendly staff. Be aware that it’s an hour and a half bus ride each way. Do your homework ahead of time to have a strategy for which places you want to visit and how you’re going to do the timing

Confusion on the tickets then about bus needed instead of tram to first vineyard. Timetable given out in Cape Town didn’t match timetable given out at tram terminal.

The Franschhoek area was beautiful with wonderful wineries. While the pickup location was very convenient, the start time was about 30 minutes later than what the booking indicated. Not a huge deal, but breakfast would not have been as rushed had we known.
Rickety Bridge tasting was an excellent value. The wines were very nice, the service was excellent. The tram made it very easy and convenient to get around. The bus transfer was a long drive but the bus was comfortable and the informational recording was interesting.

The Wine Tram and Bus experience was a lot of fun! A neat way to explore the wine region. Wineries were beautiful and views were stunning.
The only confusion was when we first arrived, we were given stickers and a ticket without much information. It would be helpful to have a tutorial about how to navigate the tram/buses on the long bus ride there. We also had to go back up and ask for additional stickers as we saw we only got one and other people had two. Had we not done that we wouldnt have been able to ride on one of the transportation modes.

Great day out. Family friendly. Everything was run on time. A good amount of time was allowed between pick ups from the wineries by the bus and tram. The wineries were beautiful and so was the scenery. Perfect weather helped. Wine was lovely. If you want to eat lunch at the winery the make sure you reserve a table. They get very busy.
The coach back to Cape Town was very comfortable and had wifi.

This was a great experience. Do take your own money along, as you pay for your tastings at the different estates. The time in-between the pick up is rushed though, it's impossible to finish all the 6 or 7 assigned estates in 1 day. A wholesome and lovely experience.

The day was fantastic the wine tour itself was great but had issues with pick up at the pick up point the driver never turned up so had to get a uber to the terminal and they were supposed to to explain how the day proceed but nobody did and had to work it out by ourselves and help from others on our tour so they could improve on those things but otherwise a fantastic day

I really enjoyed this your and the concept of exploring the wineries via a hop on hop off tram and bus is fantastic! It was well organised on the day and worked seamlessly. There was a good range of wineries to visit and the wineries were well prepared for the tram.
I would have liked more details in advance, as it is even hard to follow in the actual website. Each stop is for one hour. The maximum wineries (for our line and timetable) was four, though three was more like the reality. Knowing this in advance, and which wineries are tram vs bus, you could do a bit more research and plan your day.

Well organised and fun way to explore the valley. The tram ride itself was enjoyable and staff were friendly. However, despite requesting the Pink Line by email, we were booked on the Navy Line and couldn’t change on the day, which limited the vineyards we could visit. Tip: double-check you’re on the right line for the wineries you want.
Also, to really enjoy tastings and lunch, you can realistically do only about 3 vineyards (first stop around 10:30am, last bus back about 4:30pm). Overall a great concept, but planning is key.

Eat breakfast at home, because the shop at the station does not even have ready made sandwiches, only muffins. They offer sandwiches, but if you stay and wait for your sandwich, you will miss the first Tram. Time is very tight.

Everyone at each vineyard was great. However, the ride each way was pretty bad due to lack of AC. It was expressed that there would be AC on the way up and down and there was definitely no AC AND no windows down. If you are traveling in summer time, it’s truly unbearable.
